The daughter of EastEnders star Sam Attwater and Dancing On Ice professional Vicky Ogden was rushed to hospital after kicking her ice skate blade into the back of her head.
Sam and Vicky’s daughter Rosie, seven, has been following in her mother’s footsteps by taking to the ice but suffered a horrifying injury on Tuesday when a stunt went wrong.
Actor Sam, 37, took to Instagram to share that he had spent the afternoon in A&E with Rosie after she took a skate blade to the head.
‘This is what happens when you do gymnastics and ice skating and are incredibly flexible,’ he said. ‘She managed to get the heel of her blade in the back of her head when kicking backwards.’
Sam, 37, and Vicky, 39, met on the Dancing On Ice tour after Sam won the 2011 series while skating with different partners. They were partnered together for the 2014 All Stars series and married that same year.

In the post, Sam shared a graphic picture of Rosie’s head wound, where the blood could be seen through her dark brown hair.
Sam, who also shares daughter Daisy, four, with Vicky, then shared a follow-up video of him and Rosie in the car to assure followers that the youngster was on the mend.
In the video, Rosie is seen sitting in the back of the car covering her face as Sam jokingly tells her to ‘look sad’, to which she starts laughing.
‘Don’t laugh though,’ Sam tells Rosie as both start fake crying, before the father says ‘Oo I’ve hurt myself’.
‘She’s okay,’ Sam said to the camera. ‘Little bit of glue in the head but she’s alright.’
The video went into more detail, with the caption reading: ‘She’s all good!!! Thank you for all who have messaged and to the nurses who looked after her.
‘How amazing is the NHS [clapping hands].’
Rosie’s mother Vicky, who is partnered with Eddie the Eagle for this year’s Dancing On Ice, re-shared the clip of Rosie’s head with a crying face.

Vicky gave birth to Rosie in 2016, two years after she and Sam wed.
But it was not all smooth sailing as her labour ended up lasting a staggering 44 hours, with the baby not turning the right way until the last hour.
Introducing Rosie Ida May Attwater to the world in an interview with OK!, the couple said they were delighted to be parents.
And though they are keen to extend their family unit, Vicky admitted: ‘I definitely want another child but this pregnancy did scare me.’
She added: ‘The pain is still quite clear in my mind. I also carried on being sick right up to the day I went into labour.’
Despite the long wait, Vicky explained the actual birth was over very quickly: ‘She [the midwife] told me I was ready to start pushing. Rosie took just over an hour to be delivered.’
Proud father Sam agreed, joking Rosie ‘flew out’, adding: ‘It was like when you go to a water park and you’re waiting for your mate to come out the end of the flume.’
And equally full of praise for his wife, the former EastEnders star said: ‘Watching Vicky give birth was heroic. She is my hero!’

‘I didn’t even realise she had arrived – she wasn’t crying, but they assured us that everything was fine,’ Vicky explained.
‘They put her on my chest and I just felt this huge rush of emotion.’
And as Rosie was weighed, Vicky said she turned to Sam and said he could cry, with the actor promptly shedding a little tear of joy.
