Salma Hayek has revealed that she works out just four times a year as she showcased her flexibility in a new interview.
The Mexican American actress, 58, is no stranger to showcasing her incredible, age-defying figure whether that be on a red carpet or in a bikini-clad Instagram snap.ย
However while some may think that the star may have to hit the gym hard in order to maintain her physique, Salma insists that it isn’t the case and in fact would rather avoid exercises such as running.
Speaking to Marie Claire, in which she wowed in a lace bodysuit for a sizzling photoshoot, Salma opened up about her minimal fitness routine and her natural suppleness, stating she’s ‘very flexible’ and still does all of her own stunts.
Salma continued: ‘Four times a year, I put music on and walk on my own treadmill. Donโt ask me to run; my boobs are not made for that.’
She added that she was content with her curves and doesn’t desire anybody else’s body or even a new body.ย

However, despite looking and feeling amazing, the Without Blood star admitted that she still yearns for the body she had when she was 25.ย ย ย
She said: ‘I do confess, I want the old body; the one I had at 25 and criticized and hated nonstop. Oh, please, Lord Jesus, give it back to me. I apologize.’
Meanwhile in the interview, Salma told how she’s no longer feels defined for being ‘sexy’ and has found as she’s grown older, she’s been able to expand her horizons and take on roles that are not just based on her appearance.ย
‘There was a time when I was the sexy girl, but thank God age came and gave me the ability to expand to other territories. Although Iโm still sexy and I embrace it.’
She added that she likes to remind people that women are not ‘disposable’ after a certain age ‘in any department’, adding that women should ‘battle that’ with ‘all we’ve got’.ย
Hayek began her entertainment career in 1989 and started making minor acting appearances before her breakout role in 1995 portraying Carolina in Desperado.
She went on to star in one of her most iconic roles as Frida Kahlo in the titular biopic Frida in 2002.

Salma’s portrayal of the famous Mexican artist earned her an Academy Award for Best Actress.
Since then, Salma has gone on to become an acclaimed film producer in addition to an award-winning actress.
Most recently, she starred opposite Channing Tatumย in Magic Mike’s Last Dance, which was released in February 2023.ย
Salma previously opened up about getting older in a 2023 interview with Glamourย magazine.ย
‘I thought getting older meant I wasnโt going to work; Iโm working. I thought getting older maybe meant that youโre not in love anymore; Iโm in love,’ she said, referencing her French billionaire husband Franรงois-Henri Pinault.ย
She noted that ‘everything’ about the aging process is different than she imagined.

The mother-of-one, who shares 17-year-old daughter Valentina with Pinault, went on to share, ‘I remember having an existential crisis as I arrived in my 30s.ย
‘Itโs like, “Oh my God. Iโm just not going to accomplish all my plans ever, itโs never going to happen for me. I have nothing, no husband, no children.”
‘And especially for the women of my generation, it was like, “If I donโt have a child in five minutes, Iโm not going to be able to be a mother.”‘
Salma welcomed her daughter, her only child, in 2007 at age 41.ย
