Saira Khan braved the cold as she stripped to a bikini to take a plunge in an icy lake, starting her New Year off with a health kick.
The presenter and former Loose Women panelist, 55, took to Instagram on New Year’s Day as she submerged herself in the freezing water.
Saira removed her towel as she revealed her two-piece bikini underneath, admitting she hadn’t dressed appropriately for the occasion.
As a pal held the camera, she said: ‘Here we are, this is the lake. Look at the little ducks there. Sonia’s got her wetsuit on, I look like an idiot.
‘I’ve got my bikini on, but I’m just taking a bit of time… We can do this.
‘Don’t look at my post-Christmas belly because it’s huge.’

Grabbing her towel, Saira told her followers: ‘Yes… 2026 I’m coming in with force.’
The former Apprentice star was flooded with praise from her fans, with one writing: ‘Oh my gosh! Well done, Saira! It’s been bitterly cold in our kneck of the woods, but the lake does look amazing! I might walk over and give it a go’;

Joking with her followers she explained that whether she is 24 or 54 she has decided: ‘F**k it I’m gonna slay anyway’ as she beamed in the candid shots on the beach.

She wrote: ‘I remember the times when I walked and everything moved together – now my legs go one way and my stomach another.
‘But seriously, you know when you see a bikini hanging up and you still think that you’re a size 8 and you try it on and remember I’m not 24 anymore but 54 and then think …. F**k it I’m gonna slay anyway …that’s where I’m at in these photos on this holiday.’
Saira continued: ‘I like women with shape, curves, marks, wrinkles and scars because it’s real, it shows a life lived and it shows authenticity in a world that sometimes is so fake.
‘The pressure nowadays is “dare to be your authentic self” in a world of filtered beauty.
