Sabrina Carpenter reacted to learning that she reached a charts record with the Beatles on Thursday’s episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on NBC.
The 25-year-old hitmaker, wearing blue sparkly shorts with matching jacket and blue platform shoes, appeared on the show the same day her sixth studio album Short n’ Sweet dropped.
‘This is your summer,’ Jimmy, 49, said. ‘This is the summer of Sabrina Carpenter!’
‘Thank you,’ Sabrina said. ‘I’m so happy to be here.’
‘You became the first artist since the Beatles to have two songs debut within the top three on the Billboard Hot 100,’ Jimmy said after sharing that her songs Espresso and Please Please Please have been crushing it on Spotify.

‘The Beatles one sounds fake,’ Sabrina said.
‘No, the Beatles one is real,’ Jimmy said.
‘But there’s one of me and four of them. So I don’t understand. The math doesn’t math,’ Sabrina quipped.
‘How cool is it to be in the same sentence as the Beatles?,’ Jimmy asked.
‘Very cool,’ Sabrina said. ‘That’s an understatement. I don’t really have the words for it. I’m just so grateful that you guys are listening. ‘

‘So I was 15 drinking espresso, which says a lot about my parents or me I don’t know,’ Sabrina said.
Jimmy said it shows that she can predict the future with her tweets.

Jimmy asked if she had any favorite songs. He said he liked the song Taste. She said her video for the song was coming out tomorrow.
‘It does really feel like a self-titled album to me in a weird way…well, also cause Short N’ Sweet is sort of Sabrina in another language to me,’ she said. ‘It really just feels like all of these stories and memories is very much like blunt, very forward, very fun and just some of the best memories I’ve had over the last two years of writing it. So I’m so excited for everyone to hear it.’

e video shoot and she confirmed the other woman in the picture was Jenna Ortega.
‘It was inspired by one of my favorite films and she was a huge fan of the film and also I’m so excited for you guys to see this video,’ Sabrina said. ‘ I think it’s my favorite one I’ve ever done.’
Jimmy said Sabrina was taking off on her arena tour.
‘I’m so small and those stages are so big,’ Sabrina said. ‘ I don’t know what I will do other than I want it to be the best show for everyone that is attending.’

Sabrina will kick off her ‘first-ever arena tour’ with the 47-date Short n’ Sweet Tour on September 23 at the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio.
‘I’m so small and the stage is so big so I don’t really know what I will do other than I want it to be the best show for everybody that’s attending,’ Sabrina said.
Sabrina is scheduled to be one of the performers for the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards airing September 10 from the UBS Arena in New York.
She will compete for six Moonperson trophies – song of the year, artist of the year, and best pop as well as technical awards for best editing, best direction, and best art direction.
