Rylan Clark left fans baffled after he revealed his ‘real voice’ in an Instagram video on Tuesday – and admitted he puts on a different tone for work.
The 35-year-old presenter filmed a quick clip to promote his new digital talk show Air Rylan, which landed on Wednesday, to his 2.3 million followers.
However, they were distracted by the fact he sounded ‘deeper’ and ‘more cockney’ than they’re used to hearing on TV, with some fans even comparing him to TOWIE’s Mark Wright.
In the clip, Rylan sported a black unbuttoned shirt teamed with a Celine cap, as he explained: ‘So guys, I have been teasing you a little bit, saying that I’ve got something to tell ya and things like that.
‘Well, I can tell you that I have gone and got my own airline. I’m very excited and it’s called Air Rylan.’

He joked: ‘It’s not called RylanAir because of copyright reasons, I’m sure you’re aware people might pipe up.
‘But yeah, it’s something I’ve always wanted. It is landing very, very soon. And I can’t wait to have my first passengers on board, and you’re welcome along for the ride.
‘So keep an eye out and I hope you enjoy flying Air Rylan.’
The TV star’s voice sounded noticeably different to usual, which fans were speedy to point out in the comments.
One fan called Jojo questioned: ‘Errrmmm why is your voice so deep now?,’ to which the presenter admitted: ‘I forgot when filming the vid to put on my work voice. Sorry x.’
The fan responded with: ‘I’m sorry I didn’t mean it nasty, it just sounded strange lol,’ and Rylan replied: ‘I know! I’m being serious forgot to put my Rylan voice on lol’.
Other viewers were in agreement that Rylan’s voice sounded unusual, with some revealing that they actually prefer it, quipping:

The publication claims that according to BetIdeas, former X Factor star Rylan, 35, is favourite to replace Jermaine with odds of 9/2.
Lee Astley, spokesperson for BetIdeas, said: ‘The news of Jermaine Jenas’ sacking from The One Show on BBC has kickstarted the rumour mill on who will replace him as a permanent host, with Rylan Clark a solid chance in the betting.
‘Rylan, a man well-versed in the world of television presenting with stints on ITV ‘s This Morning and the Eurovision Song Contest, has been given odds of 9/2 to assume the vacancy left by Jenas as a presenter on BBC’s hit chat show.’
