Rylan Clark told Renee Zellweger that he ‘doesn’t want to die a spinster’ as he begged her for advice on love.
The former X Factor contestant, 36, spoke to the Hollywood star, 55, on Valentine’s Day as her new movie Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy hit cinemas.
Rylan split from Dan Neal in 2021 after six years of marriage, and lamented he ‘just doesn’t get it’ when it comes to finding someone special.
Sending a video into The Scott Mills Breakfast Show on BBC Radio 2, he said: ‘ You all right Bridge?
‘Listen I need your help. I’m 36, I’ve done the marriage, I’ve done the divorce, I’ve done all the dating, I’ve met up with blokes, but I just don’t get it.
‘I’m still single. I’ve got my own hair, granted I’ve not got my own teeth, but we’ll get over that.

‘I just need a bit of advice, babe. I don’t want to die a spinster.’
The Academy Award-winning star thinks that people would be ‘too intimidated’ to approach Rylan, but reasoned that this is because is ‘charming’.
She reassured him: ‘You know, the right one’s gonna walk in. All these other ones who aren’t working out well, clearly, thank goodness for a reason.’
The Hollywood star was joined by her co-stars Leo Woodall – who plays her love interest in the film – and Chiwetel Ejiofor, and they both wondered how the prospect of having his own hair could be bettered.
Chiwetel also suggested that the one could come along when Rylan ‘stops looking’, to which Renee concurred.
Just moments before Rylan appeared, the Judy star sung his praises as she noted how much she loved watching him on Gogglebox.
She said: ‘I love him on Gogglebox, he’s hilarious, with his mum! I think he’s so funny. It’s my favourite.
‘Got home from the premiere, took my shoes off – well I used a crowbar to get ‘em off – and sat in the bed, answered a couple of texts and watched Gogglebox. It’s my favourite .’

Hollywood actress Renee has reprised her role as the unlucky-in-love singleton in the romcom Mad About The Boy (seen with co-star Leo Woodall)

The best-selling novel was adapted for the screen in 2001, and the sequel The Edge of Reason followed in 2004, and then Bridget Jones’s Baby hit cinemas in 2016
Renee has reprised her role as the unlucky-in-love singleton in the romantic comedy, almost 25 years on from when she first played the diarist.
The character first appeared in a column in The Independent and when author Helen Fielding released Bridget Jones’ Diary in 1996, it quickly became a bestseller.
Three more books followed and after completing the last adaptation, Renee admitted that she is ‘in denial’ over the idea that she could have played Bridget for the last time.
She said: ‘I’m in denial too, but you never know…’
