RYAN Thomas reveals his fiancee Lucy Mecklenburgh walked out on a swanky champagne date night in his latest relationship confession.
The former Coronation Street actor told that, despite their lavish surroundings in a posh Manchester hotel, the “energy was all off” and a row was “bubbling”.
He spoke to his brothers Adam and Scott on their joint podcast to lay bare the date night disaster – despite putting in the graft to plan a special night.
Ryan, 41, said he had carefully arranged a hotel and dinner yet warned: “We got to the hotel, lovely room, went for dinner in this beautiful new restaurant overlooking the whole of Manchester.
‘It just slowly, I just started to feel it bubbling.
“And every time a conversation come up, it was a debate, right, rather than conversation it was like, you just felt the energy was all off.”
He then told how the TOWIE alum, 34, the mother to his two youngest children, had left the eatery with her coat on.
Ryan, who played Jason Grimshaw on ITV soap Corrie, added: I thought she’s gone to the toilet, 10 minutes has passed, 15 minutes has passed, half an hour passed!
“And I was still sat there. So I text her and said ‘long toilet break’.
“I rang her, and it went boom down, I rang her again, and it went down, and then I was like okay, so she’s not coming back.”
Ryan then told how he retreated to their hotel room where a bottle of champagne was waiting, and decided to have a glass for one.
He did not disclose what the spat was about or where Lucy had headed to, yet all is now well with the pair.
Ryan proposed to Lucy during a romantic trip to Italy back in 2019.
He popped the question in the picturesque Italian resort of Positano after two years of dating.
PARENTING ISSUES
Previously, we told how the Thomas brothers themselves had issues brewing in a feud set to tear the trio apart.
We also reported how Ryan was down to his last £1 in his company bank account after his TV show axe.
Yet his parenting skills have also been called into question after he allowed eldest daughter Scarlett to skip her GCSEs and follow her desire to be a singer.
He was forced to defend her after she revealed she didn’t take any of her high school tests.
Scarlett told her followers this summer that she wouldn’t be picking up her results as she didn’t sit any exams.
In a short video posted to social media, she posed in front of a camera showing a close up of her immaculate makeup.
She captioned it: “I’m watching everyone get their GCSE results today, wondering if I could’ve had good results but I will forever wonder.”
Some fans were left divided and said the youngster should have done her GCSE’s regardless of her blossoming acting career.
But father Ryan promptly hit back and wrote in the comments: “Is it even anyone’s business or concern though?”
