Ryan Reynolds appeared on the red carpet Monday at the 2023 Bring Change to Mind gala at City Winery in New York City, where he was slated to be honored with the Robin Williams Legacy of Laughter award.
The Deadpool star, 46 – who was not with wife Blake Lively, 36, at the proceedings – looked dapper in a juniper green suit with brown dress shoes at the function for the non-profit organization, which was co-founded by Glenn Close and looks to eradicate discrimination surrounding mental health.
The Vancouver, Canada native told Extra TV on the red carpet that he was ‘deeply and profoundly honored’ to be receiving the honors named after the beloved late actor, who died at the age of 63 in August of 2014.
‘I’ve not just watched Robin my entire life, but I’ve studied him – he’s literally singular,’ Reynolds told the outlet of the Mrs. Doubtfire star. ‘There’s nobody else like him before him or after him, there never will be.’
The Adam Project leading man, who was pictured at the event with Close and Williams’ children Zelda and Zak, added that he was ‘incredibly honored to be here’ and that it was ‘incredible’ to spend time with the actor’s family.
