Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively are ‘in the market for $5million property in Mayfair’ amid Deadpool star’s Wrexham success

Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively are ‘in the market for million property in Mayfair’ amid Deadpool star’s Wrexham success

Blake Lively and husband Ryan Reynolds already have a penthouse in Manhattan, and they’re building a huge home in upstate New York.

But the Daily Mail hears they’re shopping for a ‘lock up and leave’ apartment in Mayfair.

The couple reportedly considered buying a £1.5million ($2million) home in Wrexham when Reynolds first bought a stake in Wrexham AFC in 2021.

But they aren’t thought to have signed on the dotted line, and currently stay at Carden Park hotel when, as happened last week, they make a flying visit.

Now, they’ve decided that, for reasons of privacy and security, they’d rather have a place in London and take a helicopter to Wales.

Estate agents say they’re looking in the ‘platinum triangle’ of Mayfair, Knightsbridge and Belgravia with a budget of around £3.7million ($5million).

While searching for a property in London, Reynolds and Lively have also been secretly building another sprawling home in New York.

The Daily Mail revealed the news last week, sharing exclusive pictures of the 110-acre property tucked away in Westchester County.

It’s been seven years in the making but is still nowhere near completion. In fact, it’s barely past foundation level.

Lively, 37, shared the couple’s plans for the property in South Salem, a ritzy hamlet in the town of Lewisboro, 60 miles north of Manhattan, in a June 2022 town planning board meeting held virtually due to Covid restrictions at the time.

Appearing only as ‘b.’ on a Zoom call with 51 participants, the actress gushed over the quiet, idyllic neighborhood which she described as ‘heaven’ and ‘the most beautiful place in the world’.

‘We want to build this home in an incredibly sustainable and thoughtful way,’ she told the board. ‘Not just because it’s the right thing to do, but because it’s something that we’re both passionate about.’

Lively confirmed she and her husband have owned the home since 2018 and revealed they’ve purchased several properties and plots of land on the same road in a bid to build ‘a beautiful buffer’ for themselves.

The couple already own a $5.7million home eight miles away in Pound Ridge, where they are said to be hunkering down with their four children.

She also posed for pictures with her husband post-match, with the couple looking smitten in the stands at the Racecourse.

Ryan’s times in north Wales has come with much fan fair, and after the game he took to Instagram to call Wrexham his ‘home’.

‘This club is the sum of its supporters. Before we showed up they’d saved it multiple times. It’s a temple as much as a football pitch,’ he gushed.

‘Wrexham has been one of the greatest experiences of my life. It’s hard to avoid immediately starting work on next season – but important to take the moment in…

‘Looking back and looking forward feels really good right now. I think I speak for Rob McElhenney when I say, thank you for the greatest four years and here’s to many more.’
