Ryan Gosling has apologised for causing a closure on the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
The Hollywood star, 43, issued the mea culpa on Tuesday’s Sunrise while promoting his new blockbuster, The Fall Guy, which was filmed in Australia.
Interviewed alongside his co-star Emily Blunt, 41, the Barbie star said ‘we’re sorry about the bridge.’
‘We didn’t mean to hold up traffic. We thought there would be two lanes open,’ he claimed, after which Emily said to Ryan, ‘you said one and now you’re expanding it. You’re like puffing up your stuff.’
‘No, you need two [lanes] because you have to come and go,’ the Hollywood hunk quipped in reply.

The Fall Guy, a high-octane thriller directed by John Wick co-creator David Leitch, had its world premiere at South By Southwest in Austin, Texas in March.
In the three-minute trailer for the film, released in November, Colt (Ryan Gosling) finds himself in quite the complicated situation while working with his director ex Jody (Blunt) while also trying to solve a crime.
Colt and Jody reunite on set despite the director insisting she never wants to work with the star again.

However things get particularly interesting when the star of the film Tom Ryder, played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson, goes missing.
Jody asks Colt to find Tom which leads him to plenty of trouble but luckily he has his stunt training background to get him out of many physical situations.
The film also stars Hannah Waddingham and Winston Duke.

There’s no doubt that the action, with many of the most impressive moments shot on location in iconic spots around the harbour city, is a huge draw for Australian film fans.
Both the Opera House and the Sydney Harbour Bridge were closed down during production, to allow the incredible moments to be captured on film safely.
With rave early reviews touching on the film’s comedy, Gosling and Blunt’s palpable chemistry and the film’s tribute to the stunt profession and wider film industry,
The Fall Guy has already been given an impressive 89 per cent approval rating from critics on Rotten Tomatoes.
The Fall Guy is in cinemas Wednesday April 24.
