Ruth Jones has dropped the asking price on her former marital home in Cardiff after she split from her husband of 25 years David Peet.
The home she shared with TV executive David, 72, initially went on the market in September for a tidy £1,150,000.
But it appears the actress might be struggling to get the house sold, after the asking price for the five bedroom Tudor-style home in Penylan was reduced.
Now, in a listing online, the house is seen to be on sale for £1,099,950 – almost £50,000 less than it was originally put up for.
Ruth, 58, famous for playing Nessa Jenkins in the much-loved BBC sitcom, split from David some time ago and they announced the separation earlier this year.
James Corden, Ruth’s Gavin and Stacey co-writer and co-star, was regularly spotted paying his pal Ruth a visit at the sprawling home, The Mirror has reported.

A neighbour reportedly told the publication: ‘Her and James would wander just down the road to the Jubarah restaurant for a curry – and even based some of their scenes on experiences there.’
Ruth once described the Edwardian property as ‘my favourite place to be’ and said the spacious kitchen was ‘the best bit’.
But the couple have not been seen together at the imposing mock Tudor property for almost two years.
The furniture has been cleared out and what was once a cosy home is now an empty shell.
The pair bought the five-bedroomed semi in 2001 for £325,000 so stand to make a profit of £825,000.
They also shared a holiday home on the west coast of Scotland and owned a popular restaurant called Peet’s in the village of Lochinver where Jones occasionally helped out.
Since the split, the Stella star has been living in London while David has moved to Vancouver, Canada, to be with his new love Jayne Charity Cook, 46.
Welsh actress Jones was stepmother to David’s three children from his previous marriage and their relationship was thought to be rock solid.

But there were rumours of a split when friends noticed the Gavin and Stacey creator had stopped wearing her wedding ring.
It came as a bombshell when Canadian digital creator and mother-of-two Jayne announced on social media she was in a relationship with millionaire David.
Ruth and David issued a statement in June saying: ‘We amicably went our separate ways 18 months ago and are now legally separated. We remain good friends.
‘Since our separation, Ruth is living in London and David is living in Canada where he is in a new relationship.’
It comes after Ruth announced a new BBC comedy series with Steve Spiers after leaving bosses ‘weak at the knees’ with their script.
The pair have previously worked together on Ruth and Steve: From Merthyr with Love, which hit our screens on BBC One Wales back in June this year.
Now fans will be happy to know that they will be back on our screens very soon with another programme.
The new show, which is currently an untitled project, will focus on the ups and downs of being in a relationship as a middle-aged person.
Ruth will take on the character of a 55-year-old environmental officer Shelly-Ann, who was recently divorced.
She becomes pals with a 60-year-old retired teacher called Clive after meeting a knee trauma clinic.
Ruth Jones said of the new drama: ‘I’m so grateful to the BBC for commissioning our new series. Steve and I are old friends and working with him is always a thrill. Can’t wait.’
Steve Speirs added: ‘Thanks to the team at the BBC for backing our new show. I’ve worked with Ruth for over 30 years and am really looking forward to doing it again!’
The new programme follows the wrapping up of Gavin & Stacey with an epic Christmas special last year.
The sitcom hit the Beeb in 2007 and finished in 2010. It went on to air 22 episodes across three seasons, and was followed by one special in 2019 and another in 2024.
Gavin & Stacey follows the love story of Gavin, from Essex, and Stacey, from Barry in Wales.
The show stars Mathew Horne, Joanna Page, James Corden, Larry Lamb, Alison Steadman and Rob Brydon.
