The Gladiator star, 59, took to social media on Monday to give fans a glimpse at his strikingly different new look.

He revealed that it marked the first time he had shaved in five years, taking to X – formerly known as Twitter – to reveal his new look.
In an accompanying caption, Russell hinted that the transformation was for a film role as he wrote: ‘The actor prepares #20. First shave since 2019.’
