Romeo Beckham Avoids Comment on ‘Feud’ with Brooklyn

His family has been at the center of shocking feud rumors, with his older brother Brooklyn reportedly becoming increasingly estranged from his famous family.

And Romeo Beckham was clearly keen to avoid all mention of the situation as he made a rare public appearance on Thursday night for New York Fashion Week.

The 23-year-old son of David and Victoria Beckham awkwardly smiled and kept quiet when one attendee at the House of Champion event made a comment about the current tension – which is said to stem from Brooklyn’s marriage to Nicola Peltz.

According to an insider, the aspiring footballer skipped all red carpet interviews, but took some time to pose for photos with fans inside.

When one attendee approached him he remained cheery, but played coy and had no comment.

The fan told the Daily Mail that she said she told him, ‘I’m sorry to hear about your current family situation,’ and that she could ‘relate’ to what he was going through.

Instead of commenting, he awkwardly shrugged and nodded his head.

He told her, ‘Nice to meet you,’ and gave her a friendly hug as they went their separate ways.

Also in attendance at the Champion party was Brooklyn’s ex, Lexi Wood, who recently praised Romeo for being so ‘amazing.’

However, Lexi and Romeo did not appear to interact.

When asked about their family feud, Lexi, recently told the Daily Mail: ‘I think that you never know what happens behind closed doors.

‘And all I know is my experience and my experience was amazing – Romeo and Cruz are the best people I’ve ever met. They’re the best.’

The Summer House star spilled that she got to spend time with power couple Victoria, 51, and David Beckham, 50, and praised them for raising ‘such a great family.’

‘And I just think the moment that I met his parents, they raised such a great family and I’m so family oriented that that’s something that I’ve just always really looked up to and I hope to have one day,’ Lexi, 27, continued.

‘So I just respect them, I respect her family, I respect all of them. And my experience was really great.’

Brooklyn and Nicola married in April 2022 at her family’s estate in Palm Beach, Florida. The multi-million dollar bash was attended by the Beckham family, but they were all absent from their vow renewal earlier this year amid virulent rumors of family strain.

Once seemingly close, Brooklyn was notably absent from Romeo’s 23rd birthday party on September 5 at Japanese restaurant Aki in London.

The man of the hour was instead joined by parents David and Victoria, younger brother Cruz, 20, and sister Harper, 14.

While friends of the family say that David and Victoria no longer expect their oldest son Brooklyn to attend their parties after he shunned all of his father’s 50th birthday events earlier this year, there is still a tinge of sadness at his absence.

A source close to Romeo told the Daily Mail: ‘It was a lovely, low key night to celebrate Romeo. There were lots of his friends there as well as the family. They wanted to give Romeo a special night to remember, it has been a difficult year for the Beckhams.

‘It went on quite late and there were a lot of people tired on Saturday morning, everyone let their hair down and it was great fun.’

Brooklyn also failed to publicly wish his brother a Happy Birthday on social media, in yet another demonstration of the reported long-running family feud.

But he is reportedly set to feature in his mom’s upcoming documentary, which will premiere on October 9 on Netflix, and promises to give exclusive access to the Spice Girls singer and her family as cameras follow her fashion and beauty empire.
