The This Morning star recalled how she felt ashamed during her first pregnancy at the age of 23 at the height of the band’s success.
In a new podcast, she claimed she was made to feel that she had tainted their youthful image after starting her family in her early 20s.
Rochelle, who married JLS singer Marvin in 2012, said: ‘I remember getting pregnant aged 23 and thinking, “I am pregnant and in a girlband, isn’t that against the law”.
‘I was almost made to feel that I had let everybody down by having the baby… incredibly so and it really felt like, I was pregnant, and I was in a girlband, it was almost like I was trying not to be pregnant, even though everybody knew.’

She said: ‘I wasn’t a victim of bullying, but my daughter is definitely going through a touch of that at the minute and it’s so difficult and so hard to watch, but also knowing how to parent through it’

Indeed, her two daughters’ play a key role in promoting her inclusive haircare brand for children, My Little Coco.
Recalling her pregnancy whilst still performing in The Saturdays, Rochelle likened her experience to having a ‘hangover’.
She explained on the Ladies Who Launch podcast: ‘It was almost like I had a hangover, so I couldn’t talk about it, if I felt sick, I had to hide it and then even coming back, I remember having a single, five weeks after Alaia was born and I was on Lorraine and Good Morning Britain doing a performance and I remember my boobs leaking and I was squeezing myself into my Spanx.’
Rochelle also confessed that she now regrets not taking some proper time out to relax and connect with her newborn.
She admitted: ‘Now when I look back, I almost feel annoyed with myself, but I don’t think I really understood the impact of having a baby and what that meant to me and how I should have just let myself rest and getting my head around the whole experience.
‘But I was so scared of ruining it and is that the end of my career and how does that look that I just kept going.’
The Saturdays were formed in the summer of 2007 and disbanded in 2014, though at the time insisted to it was ‘break’ and not a ‘break-up’.
