Robert Irwin to Miss Birthday Party at Australia Zoo Due to Burnout Concerns

Robert Irwin is reportedly at serious risk of burnout.

The nature conservationist, who is currently filming Dancing With The Stars and is set to start working on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here next month, is said to be struggling to keep up with his very busy schedule, reports New Idea.

An alleged close source has revealed that the always cheerful Aussie star appeared agitated and not himself when arriving at rehearsals recently for the dancing reality show, sparking fears he may be juggling too many projects.

‘The enormous pressure on Robert right now is multifaceted,’ the insider revealed, adding that the 21-year-old is trying to keep everyone happy at his own expense.

It’s been claimed that Robert will not attend his own 22nd birthday at Australia Zoo on December 1 – an annual tradition for the Wildlife Warrior – because of his overwhelming workload.

Robert’s hard work has seen him and his partner Witney Carson regularly top the DWTS leaderboard since debuting on the show in September, with many expecting him to get to the grand final at the end of the month.

And straight after the show’s final episode, he will fly to Johannesburg to begin production in the jungle, with ‘barely a minute’ between filming.

‘Robert’s schedule is out of control,’ the insider alleged, a factor that Network 10 are said to be ‘genuinely worried’ about.

Fears that Robert will be too ‘exhausted’ when he begins filming for I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here have plagued Ten, who have moved ‘heaven and earth’ to accomodate the young star’s in-demand work schedule.

The cracks began to show for Robert last week as he broke down in tears during a moving performance on Dancing With The Stars US.

The celebrity conservationist left viewers stunned during a touching Foxtrot to Leona Lewis’ ballad Footprints in the Sand.

The heartfelt performance not only paid tribute to Robert’s late father Steve, as a projection of him appeared in the foreground, but also to his sister Bindi, 27, who performed the same song during her own DWTS stint in 2015.

As their dance came to an end, Bindi made a surprise appearance, and joined him – which saw Robert moved to tears.

Clips of a very young Robert with his father were projected onto the ballroom floor, leaving the Australian star overcome with emotion.

He collapsed to the floor and was embraced by Witney and Bindi as the crowd erupted in applause, earning him perfect scores across the board.

Fans were deeply touched by the performance and quickly took to social media to show their appreciation.

‘When Bindi came out I absolutely sobbbbbbbed,’ one person gushed.

‘I will never emotionally recover from this,’ another added.

‘Wasn’t expecting to be moved to the point of actual tears but that ending did it for me,’ wrote one more.
