Robert Irwin made a drastic hair change on Monday as he decided to bring back the bowl cut hairstyle he had as a child.
The I’m A Celebrity host, 20, posted a TikTok video of himself visiting a local hairdresser on the Sunshine Coast to achieve the classic Irwin look.
But fans’ shock over the haircut didn’t last long, as the celebrity conservationist quickly revealed it was all an April Fools joke.
The video began with Robert arriving at Jacqui’s Place, a hair salon in Mooloolaba, Queensland, as he said his ‘hair was getting a bit long’ and needed to be trimmed.
‘I’ve been working on a few projects at the moment, travelling, kind of letting my hair grow out longer than it usually is,’ he explained in a voice over.

Meanwhile, clips showed the Australia Zoo star taking a seat in the salon chair as he had his hair washed, cut and styled.
‘So, I thought I’d take this as the perfect opportunity to bring back an old favourite,’ he continued as the footage began to show close ups of suspiciously yellow hair.
After the hairdresser took a few more inches off his locks, the big reveal saw Robert rocking the iconic golden bowl cut he had as a young boy.
‘It’s official. You guys have been saying for a long time that you wanted the bowl cut back,’ he said as he showed off his new look.
‘I can officially say that the classic Robert Irwin haircut has returned, and it’s here to stay.’

Robert then went on to thank his hairdresser before getting up to leave the salon as the footage went black, but moments later, he revealed it was all a joke.
‘April fools,’ he said as he sat back in the chair and pulled off the blonde wig to reveal he still had his short back and sides style.
‘I know there is the Bring Back The Bowl petition, though. Enough signatures and I might do this for real,’ he joked.
‘The bowl is back,’ one follower joked as fans flocked to the comments to praise him for a joke well delivered.
Someone else wrote, ‘It’s great you can take the mick out of yourself. I used to feel sorry for you having that bowl cut!’ while a third added: ‘Omg I nearly died. Don’t do that ever again.’
