Robert Irwin has allegedly cooled his relationship with his ‘secret’ girlfriend – fellow Australia Zoo worker Charlotte Briggs.
The pair were first linked back in July 2024 when they looked cosy arriving in Sydney together ahead of the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! star’s appearance on The Project.
Reports later suggested they started officially dating in November, but sources now tell Daily Mail Australia their plans to ‘hard launch’ their relationship have ‘fizzled’.
‘It seems like the tide has turned on that,’ confirmed one source from the South African set of the Channel Ten show.
‘The itinerary has changed and what has changed for Robert personally is what has many over here suspecting that his post-jungle relationship is over.’
They went on to claim Robert, 21, planned to go on a romantic getaway with Charlotte, who used to work in public relations at his zoo, after his return from IAC.

However, it seems those plans have been left by the wayside as he has now been booked out with other projects.
‘The plan was to have some time off after IAC wrapped filming,’ the insider said.
‘However, Terri Irwin has been busy booking her son for more opportunities immediately on his return. Which ruled out any chance of rekindling the romance.’
Some suspected Robert initially planned to go public with his rumoured relationship with Charlotte before he shipped off to South Africa to film IAC.
However, the source claims that is no longer the case.
‘Robert is now flying straight home after the jungle commitments. With the whole Irwin clan in tow,’ they added, referencing mum Terri and sister Bindi.
‘I am pretty sure that everyone on the set of I’m A Celebrity noticed Robert was acting more single as the shoot went on.’
A source close to Charlotte confirmed: ‘The time apart was proof [Robert] isn’t ready for a full blown relationship and things are only getting more hectic for the host.’

The alleged split comes after Robert received some tough love advice from a family friend about his close relationship with his mother Terri.
An insider told Daily Mail Australia the TV presenter was advised to set boundaries with his mum if he wants any future romantic relationships to succeed.
‘There was an expectation that Robert was about to officially announce his relationship with Australia Zoo staff member Charlotte Briggs,’ the source revealed.
‘But just days before flying to South Africa for I’m A Celebrity, that announcement went cold.’
Robert still resides with Terri at Australia Zoo on the Sunshine Coast, and the insider claimed the situation is affecting his ability to establish a lasting relationship.
They said Robert was given some very blunt advice: ‘You are going to need to move out of the family home if you want to make your next relationship work.’
While the Irwins’ tight-knit bond has been celebrated for years, friends close to Robert believe it’s time for him to assert his independence and focus on creating a life of his own.
‘The Irwin clan live under the same roof… It’s not healthy for Robert to live under the same roof as his entire family,’ the insider added.
Robert’s relationship with Charlotte marked the first time he was linked to someone else after his shock split from girlfriend Rorie in February 2024.
Charlotte is well known in the world of cricket and was a member of Queensland team the Sunshine Coast Scorchers between 2020 and 2021.
