Robert Irwin has responded to a video of Chris Hemsworth imitating his late dad Steve Irwin.

The wildlife warrior, who lost his father in 2006 after a stingray killed the beloved Australian conservationist, commented on an Instagram clip Chris posted of himself  pretending to be Steve in a home movie when he was a teenager.

‘Chris Hemsworth’s first movie,’ the caption read, which showed Chris, now 42, wearing a khaki shirt and shorts ensemble, similar to the one Steve used to wear.

‘My first self-appointed, unofficial acting gig. I drew inspiration from one of my heroes, the crocodile hunter himself,’ Chris added in the caption.

‘Thanks for getting me my highest grade ever in school, a C-.’

In the clip, Chris could be heard saying: ‘We’re going to be chasing the Siberian tiger, Australian fox’, before playfully tackling his childhood dog.
