Robert Irwin has suffered an injury to his ribs only hours before the season 34 finale of Dancing With The Stars.
The 21-year-old wildlife photographer – who is the son of late zookeeper Steve Irwin – is just one of five finalists set to compete during the live episode airing on Tuesday.Â
His professional dance partner Witney Carson gave the ‘stressful’ update in a TikTok video on Monday, but ensured fans that Irwin will still perform.Â
‘Today at blocking it is a little stressful because we just have to make the freestyle all come together,’ she explained while filming a ‘get ready with me’ reel.Â
‘Robert’s ribs have been killing him,’ Carson then shared. ‘And more will be revealed on Tuesday, and you guys can get a better idea of what we’ve been dealing with all week.’
The dancer explained that she had to make ‘changes’ to ‘things that involve the other dancers and involve the other guys.’Â

‘So, it’s just honestly the most stressful part because this is just getting it all together and it’s gonna time some time, and we’re gonna have to run it a lot and just make sure that everything is coming together for Tuesday.’Â
Later in the clip, Carson gushed about working with Irwin throughout the season while also encouraging fans to vote.Â
‘I really do feel like I’ve already won in this experience with Robert as my partner,’ she said.Â
‘And the experiences and the memories that we’ve shared have been so special, and just this entire season just feels like the biggest gift.’Â
Carsen then voiced gratitude for the votes they have gotten in past weeks and ‘for getting us into the finale.’Â
She also added that it feels ‘surreal’ that the season has already come to an end but admitted both her and Irwin’s bodies are ‘feeling it.’Â
‘We’re like, kind of falling apart right now,’ the pro dancer expressed with a small laugh. ‘Just trying to keep it together for, like, two more days…’Â
Earlier this month, Irwin revealed that he had a near-death experience following a sizzling performance.Â
