A third gave a ringing endorsement of Robert’s new look with: ‘That five o’clock shadow looking good,’ to which another fan replied: ‘Makes him look grown up.’
It didn’t end there, with another swooning: ‘How’s that beard!!!’ while a male follower jumped in to give Robert some beard tips. Â
‘Looks like you could rock a ginger beard,’ they offered.
‘You should definitely grow a beard. Once you pass the itchy stage (a week or two), it’s all good forever.’
Robert appeared excited to announce that he would be back in his element – feeding crocs at Australia Zoo.
‘It is time to jump back into the Crocoseum,’ he beamed in the clip.
‘Starting January 8, I’m going to be in there feeding the crocodiles – I cannot wait to see you.’
Robert added that it had been some time since he had fed a crocodile, teasing that his time away could make for some viral footage. Â
‘I haven’t fed a crocodile in about five months. What could possibly go wrong? You’re going to want to keep your cameras rolling,’ he laughed.Â

The announcement was met with a flurry of excitement from fans, over the moon at the chance of seeing Robert in person.       Â
‘And just like that, the Australia Zoo clientele demographic just shifted from children and families to women of every age lol,’ one wrote, summing up the sentiment of many.Â
The post comes after Robert took to Instagram on Sunday to showcase his new moustache.
In the clip, Robert explained that he grew a beard during a one-week break in production and shaved it off – but left the top lip covered.
While co-host Julia Morris appeared nonplussed by Robert’s new look, his mum Terri jumped in to defend her boy.
‘As your mother, I’m incredibly proud,’ she said.
Robert later asked his mother whether he should keep the moustache, and she appeared to be in two minds, saying ‘yes’ while shaking her head ‘no’.
He later told fans he ‘had to’ shave off the moustache before filming his reality show.Â
Followers expressed their enthusiasm for Robert’s short-lived new style on the post.Â
‘Robert, I just fell to my knees,’ wrote one female fan, while another urged the TV star to ‘keep it’.
A third person joked: ‘You need to be in Top Gun 3!!!’
