Rita Ora revealed more details about her secret wedding to Taika Waititi during her appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday – including one A-list guest who was in attendance.
The singer, 33, has been on the promotional trail for her upcoming Disney+ film Descendants: Rise Of The Red and spoke with the presenter about how she’s been ‘booked and busy’.
But, the conversation quickly turned to the hitmaker’s wedding, which she has largely kept under wraps because she’s ‘always given everything she’s part of to the public.’
On Wednesday though, Rita decided to share a small snippet from her big day about the couple’s choice of music and what they did after tying the knot.
Pulling up a photograph of Rita and someone dressed up as Elvis performing together from the big day, Jimmy questioned: ‘Did you have an Elvis impersonator at your wedding?’

The singer, 33, married her director husband Taika Waititi in a secret ceremony in August 2022, after she bucked tradition and popped the question
In the photo, the singer and actress donned an all white ensemble and sang passionately into a microphone, alongside the entertainer.
Explaining the backstory, Rita said: ‘But you know what was crazy about this moment? It was a surprise. I didn’t ask for this.
‘There was no plan, I got married off the cuff and it was so much fun. Then we were like oh now what? So we just kind of booked out a hotel and had a little party.
She joked: ‘The first song he sang was I’m Caught In A Trap. I was like “Is that how we wanted to start, do you know what I mean?” So I trapped my husband is what they’re saying.’
The actress then went on to reveal that comedian and actress Tiffany Haddish, 44, was in attendance at the post-wedding bash, who is pals with the singer.
Rita revealed: ‘Tiffany Haddish was there as well who is a great friend of mine, and she was going “Well, I guess we’re doing this then!”‘
Rita and Taika, 48, tied the knot back in August 2022, but didn’t confirm their nuptials until their first anniversary last year.
It was an impromptu ceremony at their home in Los Angeles that they planned in just two weeks, after she popped the question during a trip to Palm Springs.

After being declared husband and wife, the newlyweds headed to their friend Guy Oseary’s house for a celebratory dinner, and were surprised with the Elvis impersonator who offered music for proceedings.
Although the wedding was an intimate affair, Rita did share some footage of the big day in the music video for her single You & I.
In the beautifully shot creation, Rita documented her big day, beginning with a behind-the-scenes look at her bridal makeover.
The gorgeous footage also included the moment Taika saw his wife-to-be for the first time as she walked down the aisle before they tied the knot.
The pair were both beaming with happiness as they became a married couple, and shared a passionate first kiss as husband and wife.
Vogue also shared a gallery of images from the big day, with Rita revealing she wore three different looks by British designer Tom Ford, as she and Taika exchanged vows.
Taika revealed: ‘She proposed to me, and I said ”yes” instantly.’
Discussing the ceremony, the director added: ‘There were about eight people there – just close friends and family, and parents on Zoom.’

Rita’s sister Elena was a bridesmaid, while Taika’s best friend, actor Jermaine Clement, flew over from New Zealand for the ceremony.
The new details come as the singer has been promoting her upcoming movie, Descendants: Rise Of The Red and has been taking plenty of inspiration from the name with her latest sartorial choices.
On The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon, she continued the theme, dazzling in a bright red wet-look dress complete with a bold lip to match.
In the last few weeks, the star has stepped out in a number of scarlet ensembles to promote the film.
Rita will play the Queen of Hearts in the musical TV movie, which will air on Disney+ on July 12.
The mad royal of Lewis Carroll’s iconic novels Alice’s Adventures In Wonderland and Through The Looking-Glass.
Her character is also the villainous mother of the new movie’s lead character, Red, who is played by YouTuber Kylie Cantrall.
The songstress is making her debut in the long-running Descendants series, which began with the 2015 Disney Channel original movie.

The films feature the children of villains from classic Disney films as they rebel against their parents’ evil ways.
The Rise Of Red, is a spin-off of the Descendants film trilogy, with Rita starring as the mother of one of the film’s leads.
The Queen of Hearts’ daughter Red (Kylie Cantrall) joins forces with Chloe (Malia Baker), the daughter of Cinderella and King (née Prince) Charming, as they use the White Rabbit’s pocket watch to travel in time to avoid a coup in their fantasy kingdom.
Rita’s character has been featured in numerous adaptations of Carroll’s Alice stories, though two of the most famous versions were from the 1951 animated Disney adaptation, Alice In Wonderland, which was voiced by Verna Felton.
The character was also brought to life by Helena Bonham Carter in her then-partner Tim Burton’s 2010 live-action version of Alice In Wonderland.
The new Descendants film features another musical star, Brandy Norwood, who is reprising her role from Disney’s TV musical adaptation of Cinderella, which aired on ABC in 1997.
Paolo Montalban, who played Prince Christopher in that version, is also returning to play a similar version of the character, King Charming.
