Rita Ora Claims Sabrina Carpenter Is Ignoring Her Despite Past Party Together and Collab Rumors

Rita Ora Claims Sabrina Carpenter Is Ignoring Her Despite Past Party Together and Collab Rumors

Rita Ora has claimed Sabrina Carpenter is snubbing her and ‘won’t text her back’ in a new interview.

The I Will Never Let You Down hitmaker, 34, said how Sabrina, 26, is now apparently uncontactable despite the stars previously hanging out.

Rita told the In Your Dreams With Owen Thiele podcast how she had even invited Sabrina to a New Years Eve party.

It was before Sabrina was catapulted to worldwide fame with her song Espresso, which was released last year.

Rita explained: ‘They [Sabrina] came and it was amazing.

‘I think it was like the peak before Espresso [Sabrina’s hit track] and you can’t get hold of Sabrina any more.’

In a light-hearted swipe, Rita added: ‘It was that time she would text me back.’

However, Rita immediately rolled back on her comments and insisted she was ‘joking’ and had ‘exaggerated’.

She told the host: ‘No, I get it. I’m busy too. No I’m so… I’m exaggerating. She does text me back. She’s so sweet.’

Her comments come just a year after she sparked rumours of a collaboration with Sabrina after sharing throwback snaps of them together.

She led the gallery with an image of herself and the singing partying with South African singer and songwriter Tyla at Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve bash, which she co-hosted.

Fans went completely wild in the comments section, saying they were convinced she was hinting at a music collaboration.

Her caption only further sparked speculation as she wrote a telling message about it not being ‘too late’ to start achieving goals in 2024.

‘We’re half way through the year, it’s not too late to start that thing you’d said you’d do,’ she penned.

Rita then rolled back on her comments, insisting: 'No, I get it. I'm busy too. No I'm so... I'm exaggerating. She does text me back. She's so sweet'

Sabrina recently faced a backlash by fans for her ‘over-sexed’ Man’s Best Friend Album cover.

She got down on all fours while a person dressed in black slacks — whose face is not visible — pulls her blonde hair.

She also posted a close-up image of a heart-shaped dog collar engraved with Man’s Best Friend.

Meanwhile, last month it was reported Rita was embroiled in a bitter dispute with her neighbours over plans to build a state-of-the-art gym in the garden of her £7.5million Grade II-listed London home.

According to The Sun, her architect submitted proposals for the facility, which would be constructed in a sunken courtyard at the property, but the plans have left local residents furious.

An entire nearby block of flats is said to have jointly lodged a complaint opposing the build.

Their objection reportedly reads: ‘Residents who chose this area for its tranquillity should not be forced to live with artificial lighting, amplified sound or loss of privacy.’

They added: ‘Although acoustic insulation is mentioned, the inclusion of bifold doors suggests that music and voice projection could occur at any hour.

‘The neighbouring property has a strict rule prohibiting large gatherings or parties, adopted precisely to preserve peace and respect among neighbours.

‘This proposal undermines that shared understanding and carries the potential to generate conflict, complaints and even legal disputes.’

Daily Mail contacted a representative for Rita at the time.
