The singer, 34, looked ethereal in flowing white robes and a floor-length veil draped over her head.
She held white beads in her hands and struck a series of poses, including putting her hands together like she was praying.
Surrounded by a group of people and a lamb at her feet, seemingly acting out a Christian scene, the pop star’s bold new look was captured by legendary photographer David La Chapelle.
The legendary photographer has previously shot celebs including Britney Spears, David Bowie, Michael Jackson, and Tupac.
Elsewhere, Rita riled up her neighbours as she makes plans for a garden gym at her £7.5million London home.

The Poison hitmaker, who bought the Grade II listed property in Primrose Hill, North London, four years ago, hopes to rip up outdoor features that have been in place for nearly 150 years.
But neighbours have lodged angry objections, branding the scheme an eyesore, and accusing Rita, right, of being a hypocrite by threatening a delicate natural habitat.
Their letter to Camden Council reads: ‘Ironically, the current owner has gone on record to say they wanted to preserve and honour the heritage of this sunken garden which they say is a sanctuary for butterflies and is also a sanctuary for many birds, including robins, herons and even peacocks [that] have been sighted there over the years.
‘To destroy the natural ecology in order to build a modern gym is entirely out of keeping with the heritage and calm of this particular listed property itself.’
Awkwardly, their complaint mentions an article that Rita previously wrote for Architectural Digest magazine, in which she gushed about her garden: ‘Welcome to what I like to call my little piece of heaven… this is where the butterflies stay.
‘I didn’t want to put too much electrical stuff in this part because I really felt like the whole point of this sunken bit of garden is to be a garden.’
But her neighbours warn the gym building will shatter the peace and may cause sound and light disturbances.
It’s not Rita’s first noise row either – the Hot Right Now singer clashed with locals at two previous London mansions. A spokesman for the star declined to comment.

It comes after Rita celebrated her husband Taika Waititi’s 50th birthday with a lavish party in Ibiza.
During the party, Rita and her husband Taika laid out a platter of cigarettes for their A-list celebrity friends to enjoy.
The couple rented out a villa on the Spanish island where they brought stars including Kate Moss, Matt Damon and Sacha Baron Cohen.
Taking to her Instagram, Rita revealed the pair had ordered a huge platter of cigarettes for attendees and there were also bowls of cigarettes placed on tables.
Some of the other guests at the bash included comedian Chelsea Handler, actors Lucien Laviscount, Natasha Lyonne and Sebastian Stan and Sugababes star Keisha Buchanan.
Some of the guests including Rita herself and Kate Moss are both known to be regular smokers.
Others including Lucien and Matt are thought to smoke on occasion while others like Chelsea and Sebastian have given it up.
Taika and Rita wed in 2022 and the singer credited their strong friendship as the key component to their romantic relationship.
Telling the publication: ‘Taika and I are basically just best friends and we wanted to just live in that element for ever, I guess.’

Their low-key Los Angeles ceremony wasn’t confirmed by the couple until a year later, which Rita told Grazia they ‘winged with zero planning’.
After years of not being in the right relationship during her ‘messy twenties’, Rita said that when she got together with Taika it felt ‘right and safe’.
Reflecting on her past, she told the publication last year: ‘My love life has been colourful, to say the least. But how wicked is it that we can make those choices for ourselves?.
She added: I was groggy all the time [during her twenties]. I wanted to feel awake and that my brain was switched on.
