Riley Keough left fans scratching their heads this week when she was spotted carrying a baby as she and her family left Venice’s Marco Polo Airport on Friday.
The 36-year-old actress — who was in town for the Venice Film Festival premiere of her new film Jay Kelly — was joined on the rare sighting by her husband Ben Smith-Petersen, as well as their three-year-old daughter Tupelo.
So far, the identity of the younger child in Riley’s arms is unknown.
The Daily Mail has contacted Keough’s representatives for comment but hasn’t yet received a response.
Riley looked cool and casual in a baggy brown velvet jacket, which she paired with flared black pants.
The Zola star accessorized with a black quilted Chanel handbag, and she added a touch of cool with brown-tinted round-frame sunglasses that complemented her dark brunette locks.

Her husband Ben favored a sportier look with a purple graphic T-shirt and black North Face shorts, along with a purple baseball cap and a black backpack.
Their daughter Tupelo got a ride in his arms, and she looked cute in a thick purple ribbed sweater and pink pants.
The baby that Riley carried looked adorable in a white onesie.
The actress and her husband, who is a stuntman hailing from Australia, met around 2012 during the filming of Mad Max: Fury Road, in which Riley starred as Capable, one of the five slave wives of the villain Immortan Joe.
Riley and Ben later got engaged in 2014, and they tied the knot in February of the following year in a ceremony held in Napa, California.
The couple welcomed their first child, Tupelo, in August of 2022, but her birth wasn’t revealed until the following January, when Riley mentioned her daughter in her moving eulogy to her late mother Lisa Marie Presley.
A year after Tupelo’s birth, Riley admitted that the little girl was born via surrogate, which she chose to pursue after having been diagnosed with Lyme disease.
Although she clarified that she ‘can carry children,’ she hoped that having a surrogate carry her child would prevent the possibility of any autoimmune complications.
