The 37-year-old singer-songwriter took to Instagram Stories on Sunday with an image of the aftermath of the dangerous incident.

Green, who needed multiple stitches amid his recovery from the head injury, captioned a photo of his injury, '5 stitches later ... sewed up.'

The Jacksonville, Alabama-born artist was seen in the immediate moments after the phone made contact with his ear, as a steady stream of blood trickled down his neck.

Green, who has 2.9 million followers on Instagram under the handle @rileyduckman, was assisted by multiple associates in the wake of the hazardous happening, which led the concert to temporarily stop.
