She completed the outfit with a black vets top and baggy brown trousers and added a pair of orange tinted glasses.

Rihanna added an extra level of glamour to the ensemble with a statement gold necklace and white fur bag.

The beauty wore her long dark tresses in glossy waves and opted for a glowing and natural makeup look.

Rihanna’s relationship with Barbados reflects a deep connection to her roots as she was born and raised in St. Michael.

While in high school she was discovered by an American producer and has always remained closely tied to the island.

Over the years, she has returned not only as a global superstar but also as an official ambassador.

Through her philanthropy and the way she weaves her Barbadian identity into her career, she consistently demonstrated patriotism, and love for her homeland.

Barbados became an English colony in the early seventeenth century.

In 1955, Errol Walton Barrow helped establish the Democratic Labour Party and became its leader in 1961.

He would go on to guide Barbados to independence on 30 November 1966 and serve as the nation’s first Prime Minister for the following decade.

After 361 years of British rule, Barbados formally gained independence on 30 November 1966. The moment was marked by the historic first raising of the national flag and the performance of the national anthem.

Rihanna’s post celebrating this political change, comes three months after she gave birth to her daughter, Rocki.

To announce the joyful news, the star looked incredibly glamorous in a post shared to Instagram as she gave an insight into the moments after giving birth.

The middle name, Irish, also appeared to be a sweet tribute to her late father Ronald Fenty’s heritage – he was of African, Irish, English, and Scottish descent.

The star and A$AP, real name Rakim Mayers, were friends for more than a decade before they started dating in 2020, following Rihanna’s split from her ex-boyfriend Hassan Jameel.

Two years after getting together, the couple welcomed their first son, RZA, in May 2022.

Rihanna famously announced her second pregnancy during her Super Bowl Halftime Show in February 2023, where she debuted her baby bump.

She gave birth to their second son, Riot Rose, in August of that year.

The star publicly confirmed she was expecting her third child as she showed off her bump at the Met Gala in May 2025.
