Rihanna ‘is set to announce a musical comeback and UK stadium shows’

Rihanna is reportedly set to announce a music comeback and a string of UK stadium shows.

The singer, 37, who has not released an album since Anti in 2016, is said to have been planning a new tour since August.

According to The Sun, Rihanna, who welcomed her third child in September, will confirm the upcoming shows shortly. 

A source said: ‘Rihanna is raring to go and cannot wait to get back on the road. 

‘She had to cancel her shows planned at the London Stadium last summer because she was expecting her daughter. But the cancellation couldn’t have worked more in her favour.

‘This month she will celebrate the tenth anniversary of Anti, which coincides with a decade since she last toured, so it feels massive to her and her team.’

The insider added that the hitmaker is eager to get back on stage and fans can expect ‘massive’ shows. 

Rihanna was said to have cancelled planned but unannounced concerts last year because she was pregnant.

Although she has sold over 250 million records worldwide, Rihanna has focused largely on her fashion and beauty careers over the last decade.

Daily Mail has contacted Rihanna’s representatives for comment. 

It comes after the star hinted that she might be ready to be a mother of four.

In a video uploaded to Instagram on Sunday, former Love Island star Montana Brown, 30, shared her thoughts for the New Year.

‘Deciding to get hot and sexy or get pregnant in 2026,’ the reality star, who shares two children with her fiancé Mark O’Connor, wrote over a playful video of herself  appearing to be deep in thought over the dilemma.

Rihanna took to the comment section and added: ‘Wait! So I’m not crazy then? Bet!’

The nine-time Grammy winner and A$AP Rocky, also 37, welcomed their third child, a daughter named Rocki, on September 13. They are also parents to two sons, RZA, born in 2022, and Riot, who arrived in 2023.

Fans of Rihanna’s quickly responded to her by begging the Umbrella hitmaker, who released her last studio album Anti back in 2016, to ‘pop out new music’ instead.

They wrote: ‘Girl the only thing you need to be popping out is that album PLZZZZZZ; 

‘@badgalriri we vote for hot sexy and album release; @badgalriri Girl you better drop that album; @badgalriri no. We want an album!; Need to be pregnant with an album sis

‘@badgalriri not me subtly hoping your only big 2026 decision would be which state you’re going to start the tour. You keep growing your team queen, we can wait.’

Rihanna is mother to sons RZA, three, and Riot, two, and four-month-old daughter Rocki, with her partner A$AP Rocky.
