RHOM Star’s Ex-Husband Files $10M Defamation Suit

Real Housewives of Miami personality Alexia Nepola’s ex-husband Todd Nepola has filed a $10 million defamation lawsuit against Bravo, claiming his business acumen was misrepresented on the cable network, costing him millions.

Todd, a 52-year-old real estate investor and developer, and Alexia, 58, were married in December of 2021 and finalized their split this past March.

At the crux of Todd’s litigation, is how he said in a legal complaint reviewed by the Daily Mail that he felt he was misleadingly portrayed as a bad businessman.

He said Bravo producers made him appear as if he was ‘financially irresponsible or suffering from financial distress’ on the popular reality series.

Todd claimed in the legal complaint that Bravo and their business partners continue ‘to intentionally and maliciously air defamatory statements’ on the Florida-based reality series.

Daily Mail has reached out to reps for Bravo for further comment on the lawsuit and has yet to hear back.

Todd said in the legal complaint that he was told producers ‘did not care’ about his complaints.

He told the court he believed Bravo producers ‘will twist and distort the truth and manipulate the show’s storylines, regardless of the path of destruction they leave behind, as long as the content makes for “good television.”‘

Todd said in the legal complaint that his overall net worth ‘exceeds $100 million’ and that he’s ‘maintained an impeccable reputation both personally and professionally throughout his life.’

He added, ‘He has never bounced a check, missed a payment, been evicted, faced foreclosure, had a vehicle repossessed or experienced any financial hardship or proceeding that would question his creditworthiness or financial integrity.’

Todd said in the legal complaint it was ‘now clear that the producers of the RHOM, following [his] decision to reject and distance himself from the show after season five, used the subsequent seasons as an opportunity to retaliate against’ him with the damaging depiction.
