Real Housewives of Orange County alum Jeana Keough caught a bit of light-hearted flak after posting a heavily-filtered image on her Instagram account Tuesday, posting the actual image shortly after.

In the pic, the Bravo alum, 68, posed alongside fellow reality star/realtor Chip McAllister, 66, who has past appeared on CBS’ The Amazing Race.

Keough captioned the image: ‘Chip McCalister Amazing Race first season. And realtor 10 years now. I remember when he first started. So proud of him!’

Keough’s daughter Kara Keough, 35, wrote in the comment thread, ‘Take this down, now’ – one in a number of replies that acknowledged the filtering of the photo.

‘Quit with the filter – you are beautiful,’ one user said, while another added, ‘AI has officially taken over.’

Another chimed in, ‘Jeana we love you girl but what is that filter.’

Some users suggested the Milwaukee, Wisconsin-born reality star was having some fun with her followers, as one user suggested it ‘has to be a joke’ while another described it as ‘comical.’

Keough, who works in real estate and has a background in entertainment, later posted an unfiltered shot of herself alongside McAllister, to which her daughter Kara replied, ‘There’s my girl.’

A number of other followers replied in kind to Keough, a one-time Playboy Playmate who appeared in the music video for the ZZ Top classic Legs.

‘Love this pic without filters!’ one user said. ‘You look so good you need to give yourself credit!!’

Another said, ‘You look gorgeous in both pics. Don’t let anyone tell you how to post on your OWN page.’

One user said, ‘You look absolutely gorgeous;’ another said, ‘See we prefer this! Be you girl;’ while another said, ‘This is the Jeana we love to see.. Beautiful.’

Keough is also mother to children Shane and Colton from her marriage to late ex-husband Matt Keough, a former major league baseball player who died in 2020 at the age of 64.

Keough appeared on the initial five seasons of the Real Housewives Of Orange County beginning in 2006 as a full-time cast member, and appeared as a guest in the years since. According to iMDb, she has appeared on 67 total episodes of the Bravo reality series.

Keough racked up a number of credits as an actress in the 1980s, with roles in the 1981 Mel Brooks film History of the World: Part I, as well as TV shows such as T.J. Hooker, The A-Team and St. Elsewhere. 

Like Keough, McAllister is a native of Orange County, California with a background in show business. He played the role of the young Muhammad Ali/Cassius Clay in 1977’s The Greatest, and appeared on 1980s TV shows including The Facts of Life, Highway to Heaven and Better Days.

He and his wife Kim McAllister jointly won on The Amazing Race in 2004.
