The TV Veteran, 67, told The Australianย on Thursday, the best part about working on his business Pinstripe Media is the business hours.

‘I love every single minute of it, but compared to working in an emergency department it really is a horses**t job,’ he said.

‘But if you can use that job to make a difference elsewhere it is the best job in the world.’

David has also received an Order of Australia for his work in the media and community.

His award includes his significant service to economic journalism as he continues his work in the finance sector.

Sandra Sully, who has been a presenter at Network Ten since 1990, also receivedย an Order of Australia for herย achievements.

It comes after Kochieย gushed over how well Matt ‘Shirvo’ Shirvington has replaced him on Sunrise following his departure.

Chatting with Daily Mail Australia during the Virgin Voyages event last month,ย Kochie had only praise for the Olympic athlete.

‘He’s doing really well. We knew Matt would take over about two or three years ago and he would fill in for me,’ he said.

‘Matt’s just a great guy. Got a great family. I love his enthusiasm. He sort of brings an elite athlete sort of mentality. He always wants to learn.’

The Channel Seven veteran went on to say he still ‘regularly’ has lunch and catches up with Shirvo and Nat.
