Rebel Wilson has written a memoir titled Rebel Rising.
The Australian actor, 43, made the announcement on Thursday and said the book will contain her ‘deepest darkest secrets’.
‘This book is like me sitting down telling my deepest, darkest secrets to a friend, with some laughs along the way of course,’ she said.
‘So when it’s released, “my friend” will become YOU.’
Publisher Harper Collins also offered a sneak peek at the front cover which features a glamorous Rebel wearing a revealing red sequinned dress.

The book, due to hit shelves in April 2024, will unveil the ‘messy reality’ of the funnywoman’s rise from dog-groomer to Hollywood star.
It will also document her struggles with her confidence and ‘constantly questioning “Am I good enough?”, “Will I ever find love?” and “Will I ever change and become healthy?”‘
‘Rebel writes for the first time about her most personal and important moments in her life – from fertility issues, weight gain and loss, sexuality, overcoming shyness, rejections and much more,’ the description of the book reads.

Wilson’s publisher at HarperCollins Australia, Georgia Frances King, who secured the book deal in a nine-way auction said Rebel’s unapologetic way of living is an inspiration to modern women.
‘She’s whip-smart, she’s confident, she’s hilarious – all qualities that best represent our countrywomen on the international stage. Beyond the laughs, I hope this book will motivate readers to take hold of their potential.’
Rebel, who is currently back home in Australia filming her directorial debut The Deb, told People that she ‘underestimated how much work it really is’ to write a memoir.
‘I think the first few chapters were really s**t,’ she said. ‘Then the editor was like, “This just doesn’t sound like you.” So what I started doing is I just sat there by myself as if I’m just telling the story to a friend.’
While admitting that the memoir’s candidness could be embarrassing, Wilson said ‘If I’m doing it, I’m doing it full out.’
