Glamorous AFL WAG Rebecca Judd is known for her lavish lifestyle.
But her fans may be surprised her mother Kerry Brown lives a life worlds’ away from her famous Melbourne-based daughter.
Bec’s 62-year-old New Zealand-born Maori mother moved to Australia in the late 1970s with her now ex-husband Hugh Twigley to take advantage of Western Australia’s mining boom.
She works as a FIFO (fly in, fly out) worker in the Fortescue’s Cloudbreak mine, located in the Pilbara region of WA.
Kerry regularly shares photos of her life driving dump trucks in the mines on social media.
‘Going to take this bad girl out. move some dirt. and keep Australia moving,’ she wrote alongside one post.
She also often post happy selfies alongside her FIFO co-workers, enjoying drinks after a hard day at work.
Speaking of her mum’s profession last year, Bec expressed eager interest and praised Kerry’s work.

‘Everyone thinks she’s so cool driving her massive trucks,’ she Stellar magazine in 2023.
While it’s far cry from Bec’s lavish life in the ritzy Melbourne suburb of Brighton, Kerry often visits the footy WAG, her son-in-law Chris Judd and her grandchildren during holidays and sometimes joins the family on their lavish trips to the snow.
Bec is the spitting image of her stunning mum, who was also blessed with incredibly youthful looks and a killer figure.
Kerry, who is also mother to Kate Twigley, admitted it’s helpful to stay connected with her family online and through social media.
‘Working in a remote location doesn’t help, so it’s a real buzz to see what she and the kids are up to [on Instagram],’ Kerry told Stellar.
‘We’re both time-poor, and throw in the time difference [and it’s even harder]. Social media is a blessing indeed.’
Before her FIFO career began, the mother-of-two worked part-time in television as a director’s assistant and unit manager.

She decided to take on a new profession following her split from Hugh, who also worked in the mining industry, when Bec was just four years old.
‘I remember the day mum left. I was with dad, and dad was crying. That’s my earliest memory. Isn’t that crazy?’ Bec recalled on The 3pm Pick-Up in 2020.
The former 9News weather presenter has previously said her parents’ divorce had a profound impact on her life.
Rebecca told Sunday Life magazine in May 2019: ‘Growing up, I hated that I didn’t have my mum and dad together.
‘Everyone else seemed to have mum and dad living together… I would see dad at weekends.’
Following her parents’ split, Rebecca and her sister, Kate Twigley, went to live with their mother and her new partner.

She would visit her father and stepmother during the school holidays because they lived regionally.
‘You know when you’re a kid and you do not want to be different? That was what made me different,’ she added.
These days, Rebecca is happily married to retired AFL player Chris Judd, with whom she shares four children, Oscar, 12, Billie, nine, and twins Tom and Darcy, seven.
The family lives in a $7.3million mansion in Brighton, an upmarket suburb in Melbourne’s south-east.
