It was a meeting of royal bloodlines and racing dynasties on the Gold Coast on Friday, as Zara Tindall enjoyed a pre-Magic Millions shopping spree with Australian socialite Kate Waterhouse.

Zara, 44, was spotted enjoying a chic shopping trip with Kate, as the pair soaked up the pre-race atmosphere ahead of the prestigious carnival.

The stylish daughter of Princess Anne looked typically chic in a $899 red dress by Sydney-based fashion lable Leo Lin as she browsed luxury boutiques with the well-heeled racing identity.

She completed her look with a leather satchel handbag by Aspinal of London worth $378, gold jewellery, Tory Burch sandals worth $175 and a pair of acetate sunglasses.

Kate, 42, meanwhile looked effortlessly stylish in a $2,090 mini skirt by Burberry and a khaki button-down top by the same brand, worth $1,290.

For accessories, the willowy brunette sported a Burberry satchel that matched her skirt taupe sports sandals and gold jewellery.

Mike looked smart in his navy blue polo shirt, cream shorts and matching sneakers.

Mike and Zara are in Australia ahead of the third annual Magic Millions event, for which they are serving as ambassadors.

‘We have always loved Australia and it is like a home from home for us. We have been coming to Queensland for so long now it has become a tradition for the start of the year,’ Zara previously told HELLO! Magazine.

‘[We love] coming out of the cold winter and into the warm heat, and the incredible water temperatures. The Gold Coast is just a great place to be – it’s got a bit of everything, from beaches to horses and everything else in between.’

The couple have a long and heartwarming history with the country, first meeting in Sydney more than two decades ago in 2003 during the Rugby World Cup.

Kate, whose family name is synonymous with Australian racing, is also an ambassador this year for Magic Millions.
