Dr Kate Adams has arguably become the breakout star of Binge’s The Real Housewives of Sydney this season.
Her outspoken nature has put her at the centre of several feuds while her status as the only single and childless cast member on the show has redefined what it means to be a Real Housewife.
For years, Australians have seen the 41-year-old in her scrubs on Bondi Vet, but her stint on RHOS has showcased a surprisingly glamorous side of the veterinarian.
Keen to share more of her life, Kate let Daily Mail Australia into her luxury three-storey Bronte apartment and dished on the behind-the-scenes drama that’s torn the Sydney Housewives cast apart ahead of the dramatic reunion special.
While she admits her immaculate home may not be as big as some of the mansions her co-stars reside in, Kate says she’s proud to have found success on her own terms and her home is simply stunning.

‘I don’t live in a five bedroom place… I did this all on my own,’ she says proudly.
‘It’s not as though I’ve married money,’ adds the star, who eschews the term ‘single’ in favour of ‘independently owned and operated’.
Kate is most proud of her walk-in closet, which is stuffed full of designer outfits, shoes, and handbags from the likes of Balenciaga, Fendi, Dolce & Gabbana, Saint Laurent and more.
‘I really love my wardrobe because I did that, obviously, myself,’ she said, adding that it used to be a kids playroom before she renovated it.
Some of her favourite items include a pair of knee-high designer denim boots from Dolce & Gabbana and a matching denim tote bag.

Other trappings from Kate’s lavish lifestyle are littered throughout the pad, from a $100 Diptyque candle on her bedside table to a Peloton bike in the second bedroom and high-end skincare products that fill the bathroom.
She’s been busy renovating the entire apartment and has been going floor by floor to get it all done.
Kate still has the kitchen to do and plans to add a fireplace to the ground floor.
Despite needing a few tweaks, the star says she’s happy with the home because it suits her unique lifestyle.
‘It’s hard when you’re on your own because you want something that’s really lovely, but you also don’t want to have to have like a six bedroom house,’ she said.
‘It’s really hidden, no one can find me,’ she continued, before adding, ‘The only thing that’s bad about it is that Uber Eats can’t find me! But I just feel as though my privacy is paramount.’

Reflecting on her marital status, Kate said, ‘I don’t think that’s necessarily something to be celebrated, that just because you’re single… I think it’s just more about what you want in your life.
‘I’ve always said the same thing. Money is about freedom. And so to trade your freedom for money defeats the purpose. Because you can have all the handbags you want in the world and all the shoes that you want in the world, but if you don’t have your freedom it’s not worth anything,’ she continued.
‘A lot of the trolling for me revolves around, ‘no wonder she’s single.’ And I often think that’s not the flex that you think it is. Like, ‘no wonder she’s single’ as though there’s not men who want to date me. It’s my choice.’
The star, who is openly dating, admits to having ‘a reasonably tricky past with men’.
‘It doesn’t mean that there’s not hope for the future, but it also does mean that we’ve learnt in our lives that we have to be able to stand on our own two feet because the worst thing that you can ever do is not have enough to run away,’ she cautions.

Despite being open to love, Kate admits that the standards she’s set for herself make it hard to find the right guy in Sydney.
‘I don’t think that there’s a lack of really great men. It’s just that now, as opposed to prior, I don’t know that there’s many men that suit me,’ she explained.
‘I wouldn’t say I’m fussy because I’m not fussy, but I’m just a little bit more discerning about what I will accept and what I won’t accept.’
One thing Kate refuses to run away from is the drama on the Real Housewives of Sydney, which has largely involved herself and co-stars Krissy Marsh and Victoria Montano.
The biggest feud of the series was sparked after Victoria wore a fur-trimmed jacket to an animal sanctuary, which stunned animal activist Kate.
‘I just think what it is, it’s a f**k you to not only my work, but it’s a f**k you to people that have given their lives to this particular cause,’ the veterinarian said.
‘I’ve never advocated for the fact that I’m perfect. It’s about the fact that this is not Antarctica. It was a removable fur collar. I didn’t ask [Victoria] to get undressed or change her entire outfit. I just asked her to remove a collar out of respect for people that are at an animal sanctuary.’

Since that incident, NRL WAG Terry Biviano has clashed with Krissy and Nicole O’Neil, which has led to Caroline Gaultier getting involved while peacemaker Sally Obermeder is stuck in the middle of the drama.
Kate admits that this has driven a huge wedge between the cast and that they’ve now started avoiding each other at public events.
‘We’re in a situation I think where really we’re in two groups. There is a split there and when we do things, we don’t do them together,’ she confessed.
The tension is set to spill over into the next season, which is due to begin filming in early 2024.
Speaking to Daily Mail Australia last week at the TikTok Awards, Krissy downplayed the drama and said she was excited for the next chapter.
‘We’re super proud of what we’ve created. It’s been highly entertaining and has sold to so many countries,’ she said.
‘And they’re all amazing women. Including us!’ Krissy added with a smile.
The Real Housewives of Sydney reunion, hosted by comedian Joel Creasey, will air on Binge next week.
