Mia Thornton revealed shocking details behind the reason her marriage to Gordon, her husband of 11-years, blew up on Sunday night’s Real Housewives of Potomac on Bravo.
‘He doesn’t want me to divorce him,’ Mia, 39, said. ‘He doesn’t want me to not stay with him. And had he not gone to TMZ who knows we probably would have figured things out.’
Mia said she thought Gordon flipped out after seeing the show’s trailer where she said she said she ‘might have’ married him for his money.
‘He didn’t like that at all,’ Mia said. ‘And honestly, I feel like that’s why TMZ came out.’ The show then flashed a TMZ headline that reads ‘Gordon Thornton tells TMZ that Mia is A Gold Digger, Has Been Having An Affair.’
‘I don’t think you thought this through well enough to think about all the unintended consequences,’ said Gordon, 72, when she asked how long she would have to sleep in their children’s room. ‘This is one of them. I’ve known you’ve been having affairs for ten years or longer. I know you had an affair just before we got married.’

Mia said she thought Gordon flipped out after seeing the show’s trailer where she said she said she ‘might have’ married him for his money.
‘I don’t think you thought this through well enough to think about all the unintended consequences,’ said Gordon, 72, when she asked how long she would have to sleep in their children’s room
Gordon said their kids told him that she was sleeping with another man.
‘Jeremiah said ‘I saw mommy sleeping with Mr. Inc.,’ Gordon said.
Mia said in a confessional that Inc was someone from her past and that Gordon was aware of her sleeping with him when they first got married ‘because I told him.’
‘We went to counseling and we moved on from it,’ Mia said.
Gordon said to Mia that he told her on his 70th birthday that because of his prostate cancer that he was okay with her finding someone else to spend time with as long as she was discreet and didn’t get the kids involved.
‘In this case, you did both, you were careless, coming in at 2 o’clock in the morning,’ Gordon said. ‘I look at the whole bill you and he talking from the time you leave to two minutes before you get home and get in the garage. Then you will take him around the kids.’
‘Gordon if you gave me your blessing then why are you so upset?’ Mia said.
‘Because you were throwing it in my face and you took the kids around him,’ Gordon said.
Gordon said their kids told him that she was sleeping with another man

Mia said she rekindled with Inc in April and that Gordon had been fully aware. Gordon said that their open relationship did not include this guy.
‘She told me ‘he’s my soulmate,’ Gordon said to the producer. ‘She told me all this. Now she’s denying it.’
‘Why did **** think that Jeremiah was his kid?’ Gordon said.
‘Years ago I told him, I’m pregnant. I also want you to know that the timeline, that this baby might not be yours,’ Mia said in a confessional. ‘He said he loves me and he is going to raise the child as if it’s his.’
Mia told her producer that no paternity test was ever requested. Mia told Gordon that it had been challenging with him suing his family. Mia said if seven years ago Gordon was spending an excess amount of money going to strip clubs, and coming home in the middle of the night.
‘I’m perfectly willing to set this all aside and move on for the sake of our kids,’ Gordon said.
‘Remaining in a marriage with you?’ Mia said.
‘This life that I’m living is not the life that God intended for me,’ Mia said in a confessional. ‘I need to follow my heart and whatever happens, happens.’

The episode titled ‘An Iconic Ending’ opened with a fight that happened after the cameras had stopped filming at Gizelle Bryant, 53, and Ashley Darby, 35, fashion showcase with someone yelling ‘stop stop stop!’ and someone else yelled ‘get the f*** off of her!’ A slide said that production cameras were brought back up in the aftermath of the altercation.
‘Get her a** out!’ Candiace Dillard Bassett , 37, said.
Someone yelled for an ambulance to be called.
‘Deborah threw a drink on Candiace,’ Wendy Osefo, 39, said.
‘She threw a drink on Candiace but she hit me in the head,’Keiarna Stewart said.
‘Get the raggedy b**** the f*** out,’ Candiace said. ‘Get that Sesame Street a** out and don’t come back.’
Deborah Williams told a producer she was arguing with Candiace but didn’t throw the glass at her but just threw the cocktail in Candiace’s hair.
A slide said that production cameras were brought back up in the aftermath of the altercation
‘Get her a** out!’ Candiace Dillard Bassett , 37, said.
‘Then out of nowhere Keiarna hit me in my face and then I threw the drink,’ Deborah said. ‘And that’s when we got on the floor.’
‘This seems intentional and attention seeking and K got hurt,’ Karen said in a confessional.
Keiarna said in a confessional that Deborah grabbed a glass and ‘hits me in my damn forehead.’ Keiarna got into the ambulance and Karen rode away with her.
A few days later, the women gathered for the Mia’s Monarch magazine launch party for their iconic photo shoot. Ashley said after the fight that she decided to put a pause on her friendship with Deborah. Gizelle returned after her father’s surgery and said that it went well but he was still in the hospital.
Charisse walked in wearing a boot on her foot and said she re-injured her leg during the fight.
‘I think someone stomped on my toes or something,’ Charisse Jordan, 67, said. ‘It was crazy.’
Mia brought her whole family to the launch party. Ashley told Candiace’s sister that she was upset with her friend Deborah.
‘That side of her I’ve never seen before,’ Ashley said.
‘Then out of nowhere Keiarna hit me in my face and then I threw the drink,’ Deborah said. ‘And that’s when we got on the floor’

Candiace describes in a confessional what happened and how all of the sudden she saw ‘Cookie Monster’ lunging at her at the party.
‘Before I can even figure out what to do next, Keiarna is fighting with it,’ Candiace said. ‘I don’t even know how it got there. It literally happened so fast.’
Ashley said that Keiarna got 12 stitches. Charisse asked Candiace what she thought she would have done with the champagne bottle she grabbed during the fight. Candiace said she just needed something to protect herself.
‘You would have been in jail,’ Charisse said to Candiace if she used the bottle.
‘Not if she touched me first,’ Candiace said.
‘I think that there is an elephant in the room and it needs to be addressed,’ Karen Hunger, 60, said. ‘The other night took us way back. I can’t hear what you have to say because these were your friends.’
‘Everyone involved in this situation was an adult so while they were my friends, I’m not taking ownership,’ Ashley said. ‘I don’t like what happened and to see what happened to K was heartbreaking.’
‘Clearly your friend came with an agenda,’ Wendy said.

‘Not if she touched me first,’ Candiace said.
Ashley said in a confessional that Deborah told her that Candiace had called her ‘vermin’ and ‘The Help’ , antagonizing her before the fight.
‘You can’t keep going for the white meat,’ Ashley said. ‘At sometimes, for some people, you hit too low.’
‘A level of trust, I’m going to put it out there Ashley, has been destroyed,’ Karen said.
Karen said they could never allow someone around then that meant them harm. Ashley apologized for putting anyone through that and would be more conscious of who she brings into the group. The group then toasted to the ‘sisterhood.’
Mia then thanked all the women for participating in the photo shoot. The show then flashed that sadly Gizelle’s father passed away shortly after his surgery; Ashley was currently dating but still married; and Nneka Ihim, 36, IUI was unsuccessful. Gordon said he was so proud of his wife.
