Ray Liotta’s Daughter Attends Premiere of His Final Film 2 Years After His Death

The late Ray Liotta’s daughter Karsen, 25, attended the Los Angeles premiere of his final movie 1992 in his stead this Tuesday.

Ray died in his sleep of acute heart failure and pulmonary edema at the age of 67 in May 2022 while in the Dominican Republic shooting the film Dangerous Waters.

Karsen delivered a loving speech in memory Ray last year, when he was posthumously given a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame.

She paid tribute to the GoodFellas star yet again this week, appearing on the red carpet in honor of his last movie 1992, which comes out on Friday.

With a cast that incudes Tyrese Gibson and Scott Eastwood, the film takes place during the infamous Los Angeles riots of April and May 1992.

Karsen, who has followed her father’s footsteps into the acting profession, cut a fashionable figure when she made her appearance at the movie’s screening.

She modeled a trendy black blazer-style dress, teamed with a simple set of matching heels and accessorized with a black clutch.

Ray became an indelible part of Hollywood history playing the real-life mobster Henry Hill in Martin Scorsese’s rollicking 1990 crime drama GoodFellas.

His later-life movies included the 2012 biopic The Iceman, directed by the Israeli filmmaker Ariel Vromen – whom he reunited with for 1992.

In May 2022, it was shockingly announced that Ray had died in his sleep at a hotel in the Dominican Republic, where he was working on the film Dangerous Waters.

One year later it finally emerged that he died of pulmonary edema – meaning fluid in his lungs – as well as acute heart failure.

The Shades Of Blue star had also been suffering from atherosclerosis, which is to say a narrowing of his arteries, at the time of his death.

Three of his movies were released posthumously the year after he died – Dangerous Waters, Cocaine Bear and Fool’s Paradise – before 1992 finally debuts this week.

In February 2023, nine months after his death, Ray was awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame and received loving tributes from both Karsen and Jacy Nittolo, 49, who had been his fiancée at the end of his life.

‘I’m so touched to be accepting this honor on behalf of my dad,’ said Karsen in her speech. ‘I couldn’t be more proud of him. He was a one of a kind actor and the best friend, brother and father anyone could have asked for. I lucked out with you.’

She touchingly continued: ‘If you have a Ray in your life, you’re lucky. I love you so much. Thank you for your work and the imprint you left on me and all of those who love you. Everyone deserves a Ray in their life.’

This January Karsen and Jacy walked the Emmys red carpet together in honor of Ray, who was posthumously nominated for the miniseries Black Bird.

Ray shared Karsen with his ex-wife Michelle Grace, whom he was married to from 1997 until their amicable divorce in 2004.
