The former Disney Channel star Anneliese van de Pol looked over the moon on Wednesday when she and her boyfriend Johnno Wilson announced that they were engaged.
The 39-year-old actress and her actor and comedian boyfriend shared their happy news on Instagram with photos of Johnno dropping down on one knee to shock Anneliese with her engagement ring.
The lovebirds also shared their thanks to one entity that made it all possible, Disney, which airs their series Raven’s Home, which is a sequel to the earlier Disney Channel show That’s So Raven.
Their engagement came shortly after Anneliese’s former costar Raven-Symoné revealed that her brother had died after a two-year battle with colon cancer.
‘Thank you @Disney for introducing me to my TV ex-spouse and real life fiancé[e],’ Wilson wrote in his post, which Anneliese shared on her account.

He also added the date of their engagement, ‘❤️12.23.23❤️,’ revealing that they had waited several days before sharing their happy news.
In their photos, Johnno used their Christmas decorations as the perfect backdrop for his proposal.
He was dressed smartly in a black blazer with beige trousers and dark shoes, along with a tie-free white shirt.
Anneliese was styled more casually in a cozy cream-colored sweater with baggy tan pants and beige suede shoes.
Despite the relaxed vibe, she wore her strawberry blond hair styled in elegant waves that cascaded down her shoulders.
Johnno’s ring case appeared to have a light inside it that illuminated his fiancée’s face as he opened it.
Afterward, she clutched him in a hug and both looked ecstatic.
They leaned in for a hug in one photo, and Johnno pointed toward the camera in another, as if to reveal that someone had been documenting the whole thing.
They concluded with a shot of Anneliese’s hand as she sipped a glass of what looked like champagne to celebrate.
Anneliese is best known for appearing on both the original That’s So Raven and it’s sequel, Raven’s Home.

The two met after they were cast on the That’s So Raven sequel series Raven’s Home. Johnno played the ex-husband of Anneliese’s character Chelsea, who was the title character’s best friend
Anneliese previously worked with star Raven-Symoné on the original Disney Channel series, though she implied that she was asked to leave both shows before they had run their courses
She played the title character’s ditzy best friend Chelsea Daniels, but she left both the original series and the sequel, which is ongoing, before their ends.
The actress, who also has worked on stage and as a singer, has been vague about why she left both series, but she implied that she had been asked to leave both in a TikTok video from earlier this year.
Wilson had a much smaller connection to the franchise. He ironically appeared solely on the Raven’s Home to play his future fiancée’s ex-husband, Garrett Grayson.
The series was revived in 2017 and most recently aired its sixth season — without either Anneliese or Johnno — in April of this year.
