Hollywood heavyweight Angelina Jolie slid into an unsuspecting Aussie’s DMs thanks to a surprise comment on an Australian icon’s Instagram page.
Speaking on Nova’s Ben, Liam & Belle, a listener from Melbourne named PJ dialled in to share his connection to the Tomb Raider star, 49, and how it was sparked by some words left on one of Olivia Newton John’s Instagram posts.
‘I had done some work with Port Stevens koalas up in New South Wales and Olivia Newton John had helped us out on an occasion,’ he told the hosts.
‘She always sort of, you know, promoted it and everything,’ he added of the Grease superstar, who passed away in 2022.
‘I made a comment on her post and Angelina Jolie replied directly to me.’

‘Oh snap!’ co-host Liam Stapleton replied, before digging for more details about the A-lister moment.
Speaking of the correspondence, PJ revealed that it was a casual conversation between him and the Maleficent star.
‘She just said, “Good on you PJ and keep up the good work”. So that was really, really nice of her.’
PJ added: ‘She’d obviously seen Olivia’s post and must obviously have followed Olivia Newton John, and I got the message which was really cool.’
Ben Harvey commended the Aussie for his crazy celebrity run-in.
‘PJ, we love that,’ he said.
‘I don’t think we’re going to beat Angelina Jolie sliding into somebody’s DMS.’
Angelina recently made an appearance at the 78th Cannes Film Festival on the French Riviera.
