AS Kym Marsh strips down for a racy sex scene in new TV series Imposter, she joins a slew of stars whose scenes have gotten even racier with age.
The former Coronation Street star, 49, doesn’t hold back during a red hot sex scene in episode two of her new Channel 5 drama The Impostor.
And from Suranne Jones to Demi Moore, a number of actresses have stripped down for X-rated scenes in their forties, fifties and beyond.
Here, we take a look at the famous faces who proved that age is just a number.
Kym Marsh
After rising to fame in Hear’Say, soap star Kym Marsh has been known for conservative roles in soaps such as Waterloo Road and Coronation Street.
But her recent romp is a far cry from portraying dinner lady Nicky Walters or barmaid Michelle.
In new drama The Imposter, the star’s character Amanda is seen going at it with her on-screen lover in a sizzling bedroom moment just minutes in.
Filmed with a blue tint, the racy scene sees Amanda straddling her man as he grips her lustily and they passionately kiss in slow-motion.
And Kym says that some scenes were actually held back from the final cut due to being too risqué.
She told The Sun: “There was quite a lot of stuff that I believe they’ve had to tone down. I spoke to the executive working on it and he said, ‘Hey, you did it so convincingly’, and I was like . . . thanks.”
Demi Moore
A-lister Demi Moore shocked audiences when she appeared fully nude in the unsettling horror flick The Substance.
63-year-old Demi plays fading celeb Elisabeth Sparkle, who uses a black market drug that creates a younger, better version of herself, played by Margaret Qualley, 29 — but with horrific side effects.
The X-rated scenes sees Demi appear full-frontal nude multiple times throughout the movie – exposing her incredible physique.
While she may not have gone fully nude before, racy scenes are not just something that has come with age for Demi.
In her early career, she often stripped down for sex scenes for movies such as About Last Night.
Kate Winslet
Kate Winslet’s romp with co-star Leonardo DiCaprio in 1997 hit Titanic is dwarfed by her more recent work.
While starring in 2024 movie Lee, 50-year-old Kate appears fully nude for an iconic bathtub scene, amongst others throughout the film.
And Kate detailed how the sexy scenes were all on her terms, and somehwat empowering.
She told Metro last year: “It was really different actually, largely because we automatically knew that whenever we do show Lee naked or partially clothed, it’s always on her terms.”
Suranne Jones
Surrane Jones is often at the centre of tense dramas, be it as the Prime Minister in series Hostage or as a detective in drama Scott & Bailey.
But in TV drama Gentleman Jack, which was released in 2019, Suranne’s character was seen in a steamy lesbian romp.
The 47-year-old star played Anne Lister in the period drama, which saw the actress get intimate in the sheets with her female co-star for the explicit sex scene.
She has since gone on to partake in more racy scenes, including in one of Doctor Foster‘s most raunchy episodes.
Viewers saw her character Gemma Foster strip down to her bra as she spoke to ex-husband Simon, played by Bertie Carvel.
The couple, who divorced in series one, then romped and Simon was seen grabbing her by the throat from behind.
Jennifer Aniston
Jennifer Aniston broke out into Hollywood as a twenty-something in hit series Friends.
However, the comedy kept scenes fairly PG when it came to sexy romps or X-rated visuals.
Now, three decades on, Jennifer has branched out a little.
In her Apple TV+ series, The Morning Show, Jennifer is completely nude for a steamy sex scene.
She bared all opposite Jon Hamm, who portrays tech billionaire Paul Marks in the series.
Jennifer’s first naked scene in movie The Break Up in 2006, and looked just as sensational this time around.
Katherine Kelly
Katherine Kelly certainly wasn’t known for any racy scenes when she began her career as Coronation Street’s Becky Mcdonald.
But as the years have gone on, the actress has branched out into some very revealing scenes.
In 2019 thriller Cheat, Katherine shocked viewers after one scene saw her perform a solo sex act while fantasising about a colleague in a toilet cubicle.
The scene took place in the first five minutes of the show, which is worlds away from her soap past.
Cynthia Nixon
And Just Like That viewers were totally stunned when Cynthia Nixon, 59, got explicit as her character Miranda was seen romping with a virgin nun in a racy sex scene.
The show is a sequel series to Sex and the City, that focuses on Carrie Bradshaw, Miranda Hobbes, and Charlotte York as they navigate life in their 50s.
Miranda was seen having sex with a character played by Rosie O’Donnell in a hotel room sharing a passionate night together.
In another scene on the show, Miranda has a fully nude romp with squeeze Che Diaz, in a swimming pool.
Later, there is a graphic scene where she tries on a leather harness and strap-on sex toy as she explores her new sexuality.
Gillian Anderson
Gillian Anderson may now be known for often getting frisky on screen, but the actress has admitted it certainly isn’t her favourite thing to do.
The X Files star, 57, whose career has spanned over three decades, has appeared in racy scenes for jobs such as The Salt Path and is even a sex guru in Netflix hit Sex Education.
However, she has previously told The Sun: “That is something you just expect as an actor.
“That’s part of what one does. I had an experience for many, many years working with the same actor every day.
“I’ve also done sex scenes on the first day of working, which is never a joy at any time during filming.”
Rachel Weisz
Despite being in the industry for decades, award-winning actress Rachel Weisz has only begun taking on racier scenes in recent years.
The 55-year-old star took on psychological thriller Dead Ringers in 2023, and had to work with an intimacy coordinator while filming.
Featuring a number of graphic scenes, including ones where Rachel is naked in bed with her female co-stars.
However, she says the set was nothing short of comfortable.
“I already felt so safe on this, and so understood,” she told Attitude of the on-set atmosphere.
