New Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills star Rachel Zoe has revealed who asked for a divorce when she was wed to Rodger Berman.
The 54-year-old blonde stylist made it clear that it was she who decided to end the 26-year union after starting their romance 33 years ago.
‘When I made the decision to leave my marriage, it was like, okay, next,’ the pal of Nicole Richie and Paris Hilton told People.Â
The reality TV diva made it clear it was she who ‘made the decision’ to move on, but did not say what made her want to stop being Mrs Berman. Previously, Zoe had said the split was a mutual decision.Â
The design wiz will discuss her shock divorce when the Bravo series returns on December 4.
The fashion expert filed for divorce in July, 10 months after they first announced their separation.

The subject of divorce came up when Zoe said, ‘I’m really trying to help as many women as possible. I mean, probably at least 30% of the women in my life are going through a separation or a divorce.Â
‘The question I kept getting asked and still get asked is: “Why am I so okay coming out of a relationship that really transcended my entire adult life?” It’s because I’m independent — financially, professionally and socially. I think that there isn’t enough emphasis put on the importance of that.’
She then added, ‘Ironically, something came across my feed this morning with Reese Witherspoon doing an interview talking about just that: how critical it is for women to be independent.
‘You have to have your own things to wake up for every day. I think because of that, when I made the decision to leave my marriage, it was like, okay, next. No matter what life throws at you, you have to be able to stand up on your own. You just have to.’
The red carpet fixture also said: ‘I feel different on every level. I’m very honest about where I am and what I’m dealing with on [RHOBH}. I think my goal is really to share the reality of my life. And everyone’s going through stuff, right?’
Zoe first met Berman in 1991, while they were both students at George Washington University.

She wrote in the split announcement, ‘After 33 years together and 26 years married, Rodger and I have come to the mutual decision to end our marriage.
‘We are incredibly proud of the loving family we have created and our countless memories together,’ she continued.
‘Our number one priority has been and will always be our children. We are committed to coparent our boys and to continue to work together within the many businesses we share. We ask for privacy during this time as we navigate this new chapter.’
She signed off, ‘With love and gratitude — Rachel & Rodger.’
The multi-hyphenate filed for divorce in July of this year.

Zoe moved to Los Angeles in 2002. She started working with Jennifer Garner. Lindsay Lohan, Kate Hudson and Mischa Barton.
She became a star when she started dressing Nicole Richie in hippie chic in 2005.
And when Zoe said bad press pulled her down, she said ‘clients at the time like Salma Hayek and Jennifer Garner and Eva Mendes and Cameron Diaz who were so instrumental in helping me through.’
She noted: ‘They would say, “You know who you are, and we know who you are, so who is it that you’re worried about?” It was this fear of people believing what they read. But in the public eye you get to this point where you have to give zero f**** about what people think of you.’
