Queens Of The Stone Age have been forced to cancel their tour after their frontman Josh Homme was rushed back to America for an emergency surgery.
The rock band are currently on the road for their The End Is Nero tour which sees them travel across Europe over the summer.
However the band took to Instagram on Tuesday to share the sad news that Josh has been rushed back home to America for emergency surgery.
As a result eight of the bands upcoming shows have been cancelled including France’s Festival Jardin Sonore, Pohoda Festival and Romania’s Electric Castle.
Josh previously underwent surgery for cancer in 2022 but never revealed further details about his illness.

Tuesday’s statement read: ‘QOTSA regret to announce that Josh Homme must return to the United States immediately for emergency surgery.
‘Every effort was made to push through and play for you, but it is no longer an option to continue.’
At the moment, there is no suggestion that Gothenburg’s Way Out West Festival on August 8, Oya Festival on August 9 and Copenhagen’s Syd for Solen on August 10 have been cancelled.
The band added in the caption: ‘Queens are gutted we aren’t able to play for you. We apologize for any inconvenience and share in your frustration and disappointment’.
Rushing to send their support to Josh, fans wrote: ‘The ONLY thing that matters is that Josh is safe, sound….and most importantly healthy!’
‘Fingers crossed for a smooth surgery and recovery!!!! Stay healthy señor!!!!’; ‘Get well soon, Josh! Hopefully it is nothing too serious’;

Josh was diagnosed with cancer in 2022 and underwent successful surgery, saying at the time he was ‘extremely thankful that I’ll get through this’.
He later told Revolver magazine in June 2023 that he was ‘still healing’ after the surgery.
He told the publication: ‘Cancer is just the cherry on top of an interesting time period, you know? I’m extremely thankful that I’ll get through this.’
He did not reveal what type of cancer it was but did say the surgery to remove it was successful and that he was in the recovery process.
Josh said: ‘I never say it can’t get any worse. I never say that, and I wouldn’t advise it. But I do say it can get better.
‘There’s a lot of stuff I want to do. And there’s a lot of people I want to do that with.’

The 90s rock band band were set to play Tottenham Hotspur Stadium last month but left fans gutted after they announced the gig would no longer go ahead.
Taking to social media in a last minute announcement, the band shared that they ‘couldn’t be more disappointed’ but that there was ‘no other option’.
Fans shared their upset at the gig being cancelled, saying they would lose out on money after having paid for travel and accommodation.
