A power couple is closely monitoring Sean ‘Diddy’ Comb’s racketeering and sex trafficking trial over fears their names could be mentioned during salacious testimony.
The trial has already featured a string of explosive allegations about the mogul’s notorious ‘freak off’ parties – lavish gatherings involving sex workers and drug use.
While neither Beyoncé nor Jay-Z has been accused of any wrongdoing, the superstar couple – who have long-standing ties to Diddy – have legal counsel on standby in case their names come up during the proceedings.
‘Obviously they were living in the same world as Diddy for a long time’ a member of the power couple’s inner circle told the Daily Mail.
‘So they could be mentioned. Not that they did anything wrong – they didn’t – but they really don’t want their names associated with the trial.’
‘They really want to make sure they aren’t dragged into this mess, because it’s really ugly,’ the source continues. ‘This whole thing has really stressed them out from the start.’

Diddy is currently facing serious federal charges, including sex trafficking and racketeering, with prosecutors outlining a network of alleged abuse spanning years.
Although Beyoncé, 43, and Jay-Z, 55, have not been directly implicated, they have been briefly referenced in court, prompting concern from the couple’s team.
Bryana ‘Bana’ Bongolan, a fashion designer who worked with Diddy accuser and witness Cassie Ventura, said a clothing line they tried to launch failed because they were competing with people like Beyoncé and Rihanna.
Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s association with Diddy stretches back decades. Beyoncé attended his infamous White Parties and collaborated with him on her 2003 solo track Summertime, which he co-wrote and produced.
A big source of frustration for the couple, the source says, is that their names have already been brought up in Diddy’s legal saga.
In a civil lawsuit filed in April, a man named Joseph Manzaro accused Diddy of sexual assaulting and humiliating him at a party in 2015, and initially alleged that Beyoncé and Jay-Z were witnesses.
The couple’s attorneys were able to discredit the allegations by producing evidence that they were vacationing in Hawaii at the time.
‘They were really upset about that,’ the source told the Daily Mail. ‘It was an obvious lie and it got all sorts of press when it happened, but hardly any coverage when it was proven to be a lie.’
In another shocking moment, attorney Tony Buzbee alleged in a civil lawsuit filed in December 2024 that Jay-Z and Diddy raped a 13-year-old girl at an MTV Video Music Awards after-party in 2000. The case never resulted in criminal charges.

Jay-Z responded forcefully, accusing Buzbee of attempted extortion.
‘My lawyer received a blackmail attempt, called a demand letter, from a lawyer named Tony Buzbee,’ the rapper wrote in a statement.
‘What he had calculated was the nature of these allegations and the public scrutiny would make me want to settle. No sir, it had the opposite effect!
‘It made me want to expose you for the fraud you are in a VERY public fashion. So no, I will not give you ONE RED PENNY!!
‘These allegations are so heinous in nature that I implore you to file a criminal complaint, not a civil one!! Whomever would commit such a crime against a minor should be locked away, would you not agree?’ The rap legend wrote. ‘These alleged victims would deserve real justice if that were the case.
‘My only heartbreak is for my family. My wife and I will have to sit our children down, one of whom is at the age where her friends will surely see the press and ask questions about the nature of these claims, and explain the cruelty and greed of people. I mourn yet another loss of innocence.’

Ultimately, the alleged rape victim voluntarily withdrew her civil lawsuit against Jay-Z, who has since filed a defamation and extortion lawsuit against her and her attorneys, including Buzbee.
Meanwhile, federal authorities raided Diddy’s homes – including his Miami mansion – in early 2024, seizing what they described as a trove of potential evidence.
Diddy has denied all wrongdoing.
As the criminal trial unfolds – expected to last up to 10 weeks – Beyoncé and Jay-Z continue to follow developments closely.
‘It’s something they do every day – just checking the news to see if they’re mentioned and in what context,’ said the source.
‘They’re used to pressure, just because of who they are. But they’re still stressed by this. It just sucks.’
Representatives for Jay-Z and Beyoncé did not respond to the Daily Mail’s request for comment.
