Porsha Williams Reveals She’s Dating a Woman After Ex Simon’s Deportation by ICE

Porsha Williams confirmed that she’s dating a woman, months after her ex-husband Simon Guobadia was deported to Nigeria by Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

The 44-year-old reality star made the admission at CultureCon in New York City over the weekend, as she was chatting with fans at the event.

‘Of the people I am talking to now… he is nice – and she is nice,’ the Real Housewives of Atlanta star told attendees, who appeared surprised to hear the reveal.

The Bravo beauty did not name the people she is dating, but did talk about traits she is eyeing in future partners after a string of stormy relationships.

‘I really wanted to make sure these were normal people,’ said Williams, who was wed to Simon Guobadia from 2022 until their divorce was finalized in June.

Williams, who was previously married to NFL alum Kordell Stewart from 2011 until 2013, told fans that she has been introspective about her love life while in therapy.

‘What I talked about with my therapist the other day was, I’m having a hard time opening up because they’re not narcissists,’ she said. ‘And guess what narcissists do?

‘They love bomb you. They do everything to look perfect. They mirror you.’

Williams said in the appearance that both the man and woman she’s in romances with are challenging her by ‘asking questions’ and showing backbone in not permitting her to ‘walk all over them.’

Williams acknowledged there were personal changes she needed to make as well, in learning from her mistakes from past relationships.

‘I have to soften up a bit,’ Williams said. ‘I have to not expect a whole lot of elaborate things … I have to expect someone to call me out from time to time.’

Williams spoke candidly about her love life in an intimate chat with People in June, where she said that she first broached the idea of a same-sex relationship following her split.

In the sit-down interview, Williams said she felt she needed to feel ‘whole’ spiritually before pursuing a new romance.

‘It’s lonely – I can’t connect with other men,’ Williams said. ‘You know, it’s like, people are trying to introduce me [to new people], but it’s just it’s not the same; it’s not the same – so I’m gonna do it different this time.’

‘I’m gonna be alone until I’m whole, and then when I’m whole I will open myself back up so I don’t make the same mistake again.’

Williams opened about how her split with Guobadia led her to question both her ability to love again – and her sexuality.

‘When you go through a bad-enough breakup, you’re like, “Like, you’re like, I don’t like nobody – I don’t like nobody.”

‘I was sitting there like, “Do I like women enough? Can I get with a woman?” Like, who can come in and fill this void?’

She added, in reference to her ex-husband, ‘I have got to be able to sit with someone and feel a part of what I felt with him – but I don’t yet.’
