A popular TOWIE couple who were set to move in together have reportedly split after two years of dating and ‘desperately trying to make things work’.
James ‘Diags’ Bennewith and Jodie Wells have decided to call it quits for good, according to The Sun.
The couple, who have had a notoriously tumultuous relationship, first met in 2023 while Jodie was an extra in the ITV reality TV show.
It comes just after the mother-of-one was preparing to move from Bristol to Essex with her young son to live with the star.
A source told the publication: ‘The pair have been desperately trying to make things work, but just couldn’t keep things on track and have decided to split.
‘There was a big disagreement over moving in together, but in the end it wasn’t just that. They hadn’t been getting on for a while and they were very different people.’

MailOnline has contacted representatives for Jodie and Diags for comment.
The duo sparked breakup rumours just last week when eagle-eyed fans noticed they had unfollowed each other on social media.
Jodie also made sure to wipe all traces of Diags from her Instagram account following the breakup – and posted a TikTok which fans think could be a dig at her ex.
In the new video, Jodie is lip-syncing the words: ‘It’s because your son is a f*****g p***y,’ which fans have guessed could be about Diags.
They wrote in the comments: ‘Spill the tea PLEASE,’ ‘You tell him gurl’ and ‘Leave our diags alone, he’s the only decent one in only way is Essex..’
As filming for series 33 of TOWIE drew to a close in May, Diags decided to take his and Jodie’s relationship to the next level.
The reality star gave a heart shaped chocolate shell and a toy hammer to Jodie and as she smashed it open and revealed a key.
Diags couldn’t contain his smile as he asked Jodie and her young son to move in with him in Essex.
The beauty later shared an Instagram snap of the key and penned: ‘It’s a forever thing’.

Diags and Jodie started dating in November 2023 after he allegedly cheated on ex Elma Pazar with her, it was claimed.
Speaking to OK! in October, Jodie revealed the couple’s plans to go house hunting together.
Opening up on where they would live to live, she told the publication: ‘A bit more countryside. Somewhere you feel like it would be quite a nice place to bring up a child and I feel like it could be good for James as well.
‘It’s bringing him away slightly from the party lifestyle, and to think about more of a family lifestyle.
She added: ‘I didn’t realise he was actually going to ask me to move in. I am going to move in, but it just takes time. I’ve got a little boy. Everything needs to be right.’
Meanwhile, Diags’ ex Elma Pazar is set to appear on the new series of Love Island All Stars.
The former eyelash techician, 32, appeared on series five of Love Island but didn’t last long on the show.
Shen now stars on The Only Way Is Essex where she had an on-off relationship with Diags on the show, before he met Jodie.
Elma and Jodie also came to blows last season of TOWIE after Jodie had accused Elma of still wanting to pursue a friendship with Diags.

Speaking about her love life, Elma has previously revealed: ‘Well, if I’m in a relationship I’m loyal.
‘But if I’m just coupled up with someone and I’m not 100 per cent feeling it, I’m not putting all my eggs into one basket as that’s not the point of it.
‘You’re not being true to yourself. I’ve not cheated, but have been cheated on. It hasn’t affected me.
‘If someone’s going to cheat, they will cheat regardless. I hated the guy at the time but it made me who I am so I’m not fussed by it.’
