A one-time Playboy cover model who dated  in her early 20s has revealed how publicly has haunted her for more than a decade.

Sandra Taylor told the Daily Mail that nothing good has come of her revelation, and she is still unfairly treated because of her comments.

'I regret mentioning it at all,' said Taylor, 59, who posed in a Stars and Stripes bikini for her July 1995 .

'No good came out of it. Only negative came out of it.'

Taylor, who also acted in movies including The Princess Bride, Valentine's Day and Under Siege 2: Dark Territory, said she dated the man who went on to become the 45th and 47th President of the United States in 1991.

Trump, who is 20 years older than Taylor, called her after seeing her picture on the cover of New York magazine. It was just after her father had died.

One-time Playboy cover model Sandra Taylor told the Daily Mail she regrets discussing her fling in the 90s with Donald Trump with Page Six as the backlash has haunted her for over a decade

In the 2015 interview, she told the outlet that Trump was great in bed and that she thought he'd be a 'terrific president'

The brief romance was largely forgotten until 2015, when Page Six asked her if Trump was good in bed, as she did publicity for the Gary Marshall comedy Mother's Day.

'Omigosh, he was great.' Taylor was quoted as saying. 'I think he'd be a terrific president.'

And, despite intending the comment to be non-political, that was enough for Trump-bashers to have a go at her, she said.

'I was really just trying to say he's a great guy and he was great to me when I needed someone most after my dad's death.

'Also, when you date someone when you're 19, and it's 35 years later, you say to somebody, "Well, where were you 35 years ago?" Times were so different then.'

Taylor was quoted in the 2015 article as saying she went on three dates with Trump - shortly after he had divorced his first wife, Ivana.

Taylor and Trump split after three date when their relationship became public in early 1991 - their brief romance was shortly after Trump had split from his first wife Ivana

They had a romantic walk on Central Park South, where they saw a homeless man.

Trump, whose businesses were in trouble at the time, said: 'Do you see that guy there? He's worth about $50million more than I am.'

He also persuaded Taylor to change her name from Sandi Korn.

'I've been Sandra Taylor ever since,' she said.

She said the romance crashed when news of it became public. 'I was sad when it ended,' she said.

Taylor told the Daily Mail the 2015 article did not portray her in a good light.

'People are going to want to judge, and people are going to want to hate. I guess that's what comes with the territory.

'That is why I've been mute about it really.'

Taylor said that although she never intended her comments to be political, the interview triggered a wave of backlash from anti-Trump critics online - harassment she claims has persisted to this day

She remains disturbed at the volume of attacks to this day over simply expressing her 'feelings' on how Trump acted during their brief romance.

'Talking about certain things really makes you wonder if you should just stay quiet.

'That really was life-changing, and for all the good I tried to do in saying what a great guy he was and what a great person he was, because he really was great to me. I want you to know.

'He was wonderful to me. Whether you like his politics or not, as a person, he was good to me.

'He taught me certain things. He was very educational and gave advice. And for that, I'm forever grateful.

'I was just a young model living in New York, and to me he was very kind and wonderful.'

Taylor said she is considering writing a memoir about her colorful life, which would also include an account of her dating Dodi Fayed, the man who died alongside Princess Diana in a 1997 Paris car crash.

Publishers have offered her deals, Taylor said. But she said it won't be written until the time is right for her mentally and emotionally.

'I have a wonderful past with wonderful people that I was able to meet living in New York City and modeling. And I really have nothing bad to say about anybody, which is really good news.

'But how deep would I go in a memoir? I guess if I was to do it, and hence my delay in doing it, I would probably go as deep as one would in a memoir situation... tell everything.'

Sandra spoke exclusively to the Daily Mail as Keep Memory Alive honored music legend Kenny Loggins at the 30th anniversary Power of Love gala at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
