Pink has been very vocal about her love for Australia and the people who live Down Under as she kicks off her latest Summer Carnival Tour.
Rove McManus has boasted a close friendship with the pop icon, 44, since the early 2000s when she frequented his titular late-night chat show.
‘We kind of hit it off, and every time she came back she was more and more famous and our show was becoming more and more popular and it just kind of meshed that a friendship blossomed,’ Rove told News.com.au on the red carpet at the AACTA Awards.
‘She’s funny, she’s witty, she’s got a huge heart, very caring and very generous of her time.’

Rove, 50, went on to say Pink’s husband Carey Hart even ‘taught me how to ride a motorbike’, though it was a ‘rough’ learning curve for him.
The So What hitmaker has even paid personal tribute to the media personality and his wife Tasma Walton on Instagram throughout the years.
In 2018, she shared a picture of herself posing with the couple, alongside the caption: ‘One of my all time biggest and forever gratitudes is this; my travels have brought me gems.’

Rove went on to say Pink is ‘funny, she’s witty, she’s got a huge heart, very caring and very generous of her time’
She continued: ‘Unique antique collectable one of a kinders. These people that I love with my whole heart and see so rarely.
‘My life and my heart is so full because of them, these rad f**king humans spread across the globe. I love you @rovemcmanus and @tasma_walton and I missed you dearly.’

He said he and wife Tasma learned about the happy news when they had lunch with the popular performer.
‘We went out for lunch, and Taz [wife Tasma Walton] was like, “We don’t have to leave the property if that’s a problem.” But Pink was like, “Nah, don’t worry about it,”‘ he explained.
Pink is currently back in Australia for her Summer Carnival Tour which kicked off in Sydney on February 9.

Next, she’ll jet off to Newcastle, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth and Townsville for several more concerts before continuing around the world.
Pink isn’t the only massive celebrity Rove seems to have a close friendship with.
On Sunday, after the AACTA Awards wrapped, the television presenter shared a selfie of himself and Aussie star Margot Robbie to Instagram.
‘Huge night for this trailblazer last night and it couldn’t happen to a nicer, sweeter, harder-working, talented person,’ he said, referencing the Trailblazer Award the actor went home with.
He finished his post with: ‘The definition of superstar. (Alternate caption: Shrimp and The Barbie.)’
