Pierce Brosnan has thanked Lily James for letting him star in the Cliffhanger reboot in a sweet update on Thursday.
The legendary actor, 71, shared a sweet behind-the-scenes photo alongside the actress, 35, after he wrapped filming.
The remake of the 1993 Sylvester Stallone film sees Lily play Naomi, the eldest daughter of seasoned mountaineer Ray Cooper (Pierce).
The pair smiled side-by-side as they posed for a photo on the set, wearing wool trench coats and black hats.
Sharing the snap to Instagram, Pierce wrote: ‘Dear Lilly, thank you and Jaume Collette Serra (director) for inviting me to come play with y’ll in the mountains of Austria and the fair city of beautiful Munich.’

Lily is reaching death defying new heights in her latest role and taking over from silver screen legend Sylvester.

The father-daughter duo, Naomi and Ray ‘run a mountain chalet in the Dolomites. During a weekend trip with a billionaire’s son, they are targeted by a gang of kidnappers,’ an official synopsis reads.
‘Ray’s older daughter Naomi, still haunted by a past climbing accident, witnesses the attack and escapes.’
Ray is kidnapped while climbing with the son of a billionaire and Naomi must ‘save her family’ while fighting ‘for survival in the Italian Dolomites,’ the synopsis concludes.
The film is shooting in Austria, Italy and Germany and also stars Nell Tiger Free, Franz Rogowski, Shubham Saraf, Assaad Bouab, Suzy Bemba and Bruno Gouery.
‘Shooting our movie on location in the Dolomites using large format cameras was imperative for us to show the scope and scale of the story we’re telling.’

‘We’re going to bring the audience a truly thrilling and visceral, premium theatrical experience,’ director Jaume Collet-Serra said in a statement per Variety.
‘Lily in particular has gone above and beyond for the role, putting in real training and learning to climb.
‘Her dedication has allowed us to capture some incredible shots we couldn’t have achieved otherwise, and the whole crew is blown away by her commitment.’
