Phoebe Dynevor and Jacob Elordi have been named among five stars nominated for the coveted EE Rising Star prize at the 2024 British Academy Film Awards.
The Bridgerton star joins the Saltburn frontman, alongside fellow nominees Ayo Edebiri, Mia McKenna-Bruce and Sophie Wilde.
The nominees were announced by Stephen Graham at a press conference hosted by Film Critic and Radio Host, Ali Plumb, on Wednesday, ahead of the ceremony on February 18th.
Nominees were selected by a panel of industry jurors including actors Daisy Edgar-Jones, Sope Dìrísu and Himesh Patel as well as a host of celebrated casting directors, producers, and industry experts.
Celebrating its 19th year, the EE Rising Star Award is the only award at the EE BAFTA Film Awards voted for by the British public, with voting open until midday on 16th February.

Speaking about her nomination, Phoebe, who also recently starred in the thriller Fair Play, said: ‘Being recognised by the EE BAFTA Film Awards for the EE Rising Star Award is a testament to the hard work of the entire team on ‘Fair Play’ who brought this film to life.
‘I am truly grateful for this recognition and excited to continue challenging myself with new roles and projects. Thank you to BAFTA and EE for listing me alongside this year’s wonderful nominees.’
Jacob has received critical acclaim for his performance in Emerald Fennell’s racy thriller Saltburn, and also starred as Elvis Presley in Sofia Coppola’s Priscilla.
He said: ‘I am deeply honoured to be recognised by BAFTA and EE with a Rising Star nomination.’
Comedian Ayo starred in the leading role of Josie in the satirial comedy Bottoms, and has also starred opposite Jeremy Allen White in breakout television show, The Bear.
She said: ‘It’s wonderful and humbling to receive this nomination. It’s the greatest privilege to tell stories and make people laugh. I know I’m in esteemed company and this means the world.’
Mia starred in a leading role in Molly Manning-Walker’s film, How to Have Sex, which follows three British teenage girls on a wild holiday to Malia.
She said: ‘I have always been inspired by the work of those actors recognised in the BAFTA EE Rising Star category.
Speaking about her nomination, Phoebe, who also recently starred in the thriller Fair Play, said: ‘I am truly grateful for this recognition’
Meanwhile Sophie, who recently appeared in the horror film Talk To Me, said: ‘I am so very excited and grateful to BAFTA and EE for including me in this category’

Meanwhile Sophie, who recently appeared in the horror film Talk To Me, said: ‘I am so very excited and grateful to BAFTA and EE for including me in this category and amongst this year’s brilliant nominees.
‘To be recognised, and for Talk To Me, a film we all put so much love and hard work into, is a privilege.’

The full nominations shortlist for the 2024 British Academy Film Awards will be announced on Thursday, January 18.
The ceremony will be held at the Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall on Sunday, 18th February, and will be hosted by David Tennant.
