After her TV comeback, Holly’s lifestyle brand Wylde Moon shared an Instagram post about ‘resilience, strength’ and ‘blossoming in dark times’

‘These fragrant, white flowers have evolved over millions of years to open only at night and their ethereal, nocturnal beauty is a powerful symbol of how resilience, strength and growth can flourish during the darkest and most challenging moments.’

According to The Sun, Holly re-shared the post to her own Instagram Stories, alongside the words: ‘Even in the dark… she grows… nature is beautiful.’

Holly returned to TV screens for the Dancing On Ice launch show on Sunday as she made her debut with her new co-host Stephen, who has replaced Phillip Schofield.

Holly had been absent from screens for nearly three months, ever since she left This Morning in October after 14 years on the sofa.

She quit the show after an alleged plot to kidnap and murder her emerged, which followed Phillip Schofield leaving ITV after his affair with a younger show runner came to light.

Gavin Plumb, 36, has pleaded not guilty to charges of soliciting murder and incitement to commit kidnap the former This Morning host. The security guard will remain behind bars after being denied bail.

During a short hearing at Chelmsford Crown Court, Gavin Plumb, from Harlow, Essex, who was not present, was refused a bail application. He has a trial date fixed for June 24 next year.

Dancing On Ice bosses were said to have offered Holly heightened security and wanted to make sure she felt completely ‘secure’ on the show, according to The Sun.

The publication also claimed that Holly has signed a one-year rolling contract with an option to step back in the future in case she wants a longer break.

Holly signed a deal over Christmas after weeks of deliberating over whether to present the show, and is said to be ‘excited’ about to getting back to work on the show that she previously hosted with her former friend Phillip.

An ITV insider told MailOnline: ‘Holly is a star and everyone was so very much hoping that she would decide to come back.

‘After many discussions and a lot of thought, she thought that getting some normality into her life would be a good thing.

‘There are obvious worries about going on live television, her main priority is her family, ITV have been hugely understanding and have not put any pressure on her at all.

‘They wanted to give her all of the time she needed but it has been a rough decision for her. Time was ticking but the bosses were trying to remain calm.’

As she returned to TV last week, an expert told The Sun she appeared ‘more grown up’ and could ‘relaunch her career’ with a move to her own solo show in the future.

Expert Nick Ede told the publication: ‘Having her back on our screens establishes her as a leading broadcaster in the UK. It felt like it was her show – she owned the rink.

‘She’s not Queen of daytime TV anymore – it looks like she’s Queen of primetime. It felt like Holly had somehow matured and I can see her branching into more serious stuff now.

‘She’s always been able to do light entertainment with serious topics on This Morning and I can now see her doing documentaries or big sit-down interviews with stars, which would be really compelling viewing.’

The programme also reunited the TV star with Stephen, who has replaced Phillip as her co-host on the skating show.

She previously worked with Stephen on Saturday morning children’s show Ministry Of Mayhem 20 years ago. The show was later titled Holly & Stephen’s Saturday Showdown.

Stephen, 46, then hosted the skating competition briefly in 2022 when former host Phillip had tested positive for Covid-19.

They added that she was moving away from the ‘giggly Disney princess version of Holly’ as she led the presenting duo with confidence.

It comes as it was revealed that Dancing On Ice suffered its lowest ever viewing figures as host Holly made her TV comeback.

The Sunday night show, which saw stars including Amber Davies and Ricky Hatton take to the ice, had a launch viewing figure of just 3.6 million.

In comparison the launch was watched by 4.1 million in 2023 and 4.3 million in 2022. 2021’s opening show saw 5.4 million tuning in while 2020’s figure was 5.1 million.

The show was later titled Holly & Stephen’s Saturday Showdown.

Stephen, 46, hosted the show briefly in 2022 after Phillip tested positive for Covid-19.

Before the show Holly posted on Instagram: ‘Let’s do this 1 sequin at a time.’

On Sunday, the series kicked off with an opening performance from the professional skaters and the introduction of the new celebrity contestants.

Holly, who wore a silver sparkly dress, said: ‘To the greatest show on ice, and let’s hear it for the amazing cast of 2024. Let me just say a huge welcome to Stephen Mulhern.’

In the episode, Ricky was put into next week’s skate-off after a boxing-inspired performance failed to thrill the judges or TV audience.

The 45-year-old former world champion boxer received 12.5 points from the judges and could face elimination next week following a public vote.

Dressed in a boxing outfit, Ricky wore knee pads as he did mini-punches and press-ups on the ice to Rocky movie theme tune Gonna Fly Now by Bill Conti, with his professional skating partner Robin Johnstone.

Judge Ashley Banjo said the routine was ‘iconic’ and Hatton could be proud of the audience’s reaction.

Topping the leaderboard with the judges was former Coronation Street actor Ryan Thomas, dressed in jeans and a T-shirt, who scored 26.5 points with partner Amani Fancy.

His energetic performance to Kings Of Leon’s Sex On Fire, featuring a pirouette move, was called ‘absolutely brilliant’ by judge Oti Mabuse.

Love Island winner and West End star Davies, Emmerdale actress Roxy Shahidi, Olympian Greg Rutherford and S Club 7 star Hannah Spearritt also performed during the launch show.

Next week, radio presenter Adele Roberts, EastEnders star Ricky Norwood, actress Claire Sweeney, reality TV personality Miles Nazaire, comedian and writer Lou Sanders, and former ski-jumper Eddie ‘The Eagle’ Edwards compete for the first time.

Mollie King showcased her sensational figure in a white swimsuit as she posed for an Instagram snap while enjoying a ‘sunrise swim’ on Monday.

The Saturdays singer, 36, looked incredible in the one-piece as she pushed her blonde wet tresses out of her face as she walked into the heated outdoor pool.

She was joined for the morning drip by former cricket star fiancé Stuart Broad, 37, who was spotted running out of the swimming pool in a pair of dark shorts.

The couple, who share baby daughter Arabella, thirteen months, seemed in high spirits as they spent quality time together.

The BBC Radio 1 presenter penned: ‘Monday blues washed away with a sunrise swim’.

It comes after ITV bosses ruled out Mollie from replacing Holly Willoughby on the This Morning sofa.

Mollie stood into Holly’s shoes to host the ITV daytime show last year and fans were struck with how much she looked like the former presenter.

In fact, viewers claimed they had to do a double take when they saw what they described as Holly’s ‘doppelganger’.

Mollie a former star of the now defunct pop band The Saturdays, was a contender for the role after bosses decided to hold live auditions in a bid to find a duo to take over from Holly, 42, and Phillip Schofield, 61, along with the likes of Emma Willis, Lisa Snowden and Christine Lampard.

But ITV bosses have said that Mollie’s ‘inexperience’ as a broadcaster behind their decision to not make her a permanent host.

One This Morning source told the Mail: ‘It seemed like a really good idea to get Mollie on, she is literally a dead ringer for Holly and she has a big fan base.

‘A bit like Holly, girls love her and men fancy her, plus she comes across as so sweet and lovely which viewers like.

‘But she just doesn’t have the hours of live broadcasting time that is needed to host a show like This Morning. It would have been a great gimmick for the programme, she literally is Holly’s doppleganger but it was a case of thanks, but no thanks.’

Mollie hosts a show on Radio 1 with comedian Matt Edmondson, having previously hosted one on her own.

But after ITV bosses launched their idea to hold live auditions to find their new pairing, they approached her.

Mollie, who is engaged to former England cricket star Stuart Broad, then hosted the show with Dermot O’Leary while his usual co-star Alison Hammond was appearing in pantomime.

Holly quit the show in October following a plot to kidnap and murder her.

Phillip left the channel in May amid his confession that he had an affair with a much younger colleague.
