Before her return to Dancing On Ice alongside her new co-host Stephen, who has replaced Phillip Schofield, Holly had been absent from screens ever since she left This Morning in October after 14 years on the sofa.

She quit the show after an alleged plot to kidnap and murder her emerged, which followed Phillip Schofield leaving ITV after his affair with a younger show runner came to light.

Gavin Plumb, 36, has pleaded not guilty to charges of soliciting murder and incitement to commit kidnap the former This Morning host. The security guard will remain behind bars after being denied bail.

Dancing On Ice bosses were said to have offered Holly heightened security and wanted to make sure she felt completely ‘secure’ on the show, according to The Sun.

And so far Holly has received warm praise from viewers who complimented her sleek new look for the ice skating show.

Last Sunday the star was at her effervescent best while embracing the current trend for pink in an elegant off-the-shoulder dress.

But viewers were equally impressed with her new hairstyle; a notably sleeker bob that appeared to be at odds with the tousled look she showed off during the show’s initial launch.

Taking to X, formerly Twitter, one enthusiastic fan wrote: ‘Has Holly’s hair ever been this short (or straight) before?’

The same follower later added: ‘Not sure how much shorter she could go from here!’

A third wrote: ‘Saw the end and had to look twice at Holly Willoughby – is it me or does she look different?’

Evidently in agreement, a fourth Dancing On Ice viewer shared a photo of the presenter’s new look, captioning the post: ‘Stunning.’

Stephen Mulhern, Co-host of Dancing On Ice, Reveals Length of Contract

Stephen Mulhern has revealed he is only signed up to do the current series of Dancing On Ice – but is keeping his fingers crossed he’ll be asked back.

The TV presenter, 46, has taken over the co-hosting role from Phillip Schofield who left ITV last year after his affair with a younger colleague was made public.

Stephen, who told how thrilled he was to be working with Holly Willoughby, isn’t sure yet if he’ll be back for another series next year.

Speaking to The Sun, he said: ‘I’m definitely doing the whole series. Of course, next year I’d love to do it.

‘Also bizarrely out of all the shows, Strictly, I’m A Celeb, if I was a contestant I’ve always wanted to go on that. Because I’ve always wanted to ice skate.’

He said: ‘I’m definitely doing the whole series. Of course, next year I’d love to do it’

He added: ‘There’s not many shows out there where you get to do live TV and also I get to do a show with Holly which I haven’t done in so long.’

Holly and Stephen first worked together on CITV show Holly & Stephen’s Saturday Showdown, originally Ministry Of Mayhem, from January 2004.

After their self-titled show finished in 2006, Stephen and Holly’s appearances together on television became much more few and far-between, but they remained close.

Stephen confirmed he was in talks to join Dancing On Ice as a host in October last year.

He told MailOnline at the time that he thought it would be ‘amazing’ to front the show after he presented ITV2 spin-off series Defrosted for a year back in 2006.

Stephen also stood in for former Dancing On Ice presenter Phillip Schofield, 61, when he fell ill with Covid in 2022.

It shows he is finally being noticed by ITV bosses who have often given him the role of ‘spin-off’ presenter but now as he hosts Catchphrase and the Deal or Deal No reboot, Stephen is quickly becoming a serious primetime contender.

He said in October before his DOI role was officially confirmed: ‘I used to do the spin-off show Defrosted and when I stood in for Phil when he wasn’t too well, he had Covid, I really enjoyed it and it was so lovely being back with Holly.

‘We had a great time together plus lots of the team were the same from when I did the ITV2 show.

‘We are talking about it, but I promise you now that nothing is confirmed but if it happens, it will be absolutely amazing… if it doesn’t, look, it doesn’t. I promise you I would tell you if we had it confirmed at this point.

‘The lineup is the best it has been in a few years… I am keeping across the lineup, just in case… It is a huge staple, and it has been around.’

Dancing on Ice Fans Furious as Lou Sanders is ‘Robbed’ and ‘Under-Marked’, Resulting in a Nerve-Wracking Skate Off

Dancing on Ice fans have slammed the judges for ‘under-marking’ Lou Sanders, who ended up in Sunday’s dreaded skate off.

Comedian and writer Lou, 38, competed against former boxer Ricky Hatton in the first skate off of the series – after scoring 19.5 in her first performance.

Judges Jayne Torvill, Christopher Dean, Oti Mabuse and Ashley Banjo chose to save Lou after her second performance of the night.

But fans of the comedian fumed at the scoring and said Lou shouldn’t have been in the dance off to begin with.

‘Lou was in the skate off completely unfairly which makes my BLOOD BOIL but on the plus side it seems the entire #DancingOnIce hashtag is filled with people saying she was robbed and that she’s brilliant,’ one person wrote on X, formerly Twitter. ‘JUSTICE FOR LOOOOOU.’

Another wrote: ”#Lousanders in the skate off are you joking #dancingonice I’m gonna flip some tables.’

Referencing a picture of Lou doing an upside down lift, one fan said: ‘4.5 for #lousanders is a joke – she literally did this week one.’

And slamming Olympic skater and judge Christopher, another exclaimed: ‘Chris just listed like 7 different things she did successfully by HERSELF and still gave her a 5?

‘They want her gone, they know she’s a threat to beat miles.’

Someone else claimed the judging was unfair, writing: ‘Wait… so Lou gets that score for doing independent skating and doing half jumps etc… but Claire gets a high score for being carried around! Can’t figure it out I tell ya!’

Another fan agreed, adding: ‘Anybody else thinking Lou and Brendyn were really under marked?’

‘JUSTICE FOR LOU SANDERS,’ said another.

Last week, Ricky, 45, and his partner Robyn Johnstone landed bottom of the leaderboard after he was scored 12.5 points, while Lou and her partner Brendyn Hatfield were awarded a higher 19.5 during Sunday’s show.

Holly Willoughby once again hosted alongside co-host Stephen Mulhern for the second week running.

Holly recently shared a poignant post about ‘blossoming in dark times’ after making her TV comeback the ITV show.

Stephen Mulhern of Dancing On Ice wears comical protective costume as he rejoins show with Ricky Hatton following incident where the boxer knocked him down with a punch

Dancing On Ice host Stephen Mulhern returned for a second round with contestant Ricky Hatton during Sunday’s episode of the show after the retired boxer ‘punched’ the presenter during last week’s show.

Viewers were left in hysterics after Ricky, 45, took aim at Stephen, 46, during the series premiere, sending him flying off his feet.

Last week saw Holly Willoughby, 42, back on TV, almost three months after she learned of an alleged plot to kidnap and murder her, with Stephen making his debut as Phillip Schofield’s replacement.

During one segment, Stephen was seen pulling faces for the camera, prompting Holly to exclaim: ‘Please just hit him,’ and the boxer did just that, sending him plummeting to the ground.

This week, Stephen made sure he was prepared as he returned to stand alongside Ricky in the studio, wearing a protective, padded costume.
